As we come to the end of another week, we take a quiet moment to reflect on the lives we have had the honour to celebrate 🤍

This week, we were privileged to be part of a truly special farewell, with a beautifully hand-crafted floral tributes created by talented florist 🌹 Thoughtfully designed and deeply personal, it reflected not only a passion, but a life story that will never be forgotten.

It was our honour to carefully and respectfully lay them to rest 🕊️ ensuring every detail was just as it should be for such a meaningful goodbye.

Floral tributes like these are more than flowers — they are lasting symbols of love, memory, and the deep connections we carry with us always 💐

At Harry Thompson Funeral Services, we’re human, just like you.

Every day, we support families through some of life’s most difficult moments. We sit with grief, we carry stories, and we honour lives with care and dignity. But we also believe that, at the right time and in the right place, a gentle laugh can be healing too.

Whether you are grieving a loved one from the past or facing loss at the present moment, especially with so much uncertainty in the world, please know that it’s okay to smile. It’s okay to breathe. It’s okay to laugh.

So here’s a little light-hearted moment from us to you:

“A passenger tapped the cab driver on the shoulder to ask a question...The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, missed a biker, scraped a fire hydrant, and stopped just 3 centimetres from a department store shop window.

For a full 3 seconds everything went quiet in the cab.

Then the driver slowly turned around and said,“Look, don’t ever do that again. You scared the living daylights out of me!”

The passenger apologised and said,“I didn’t realise that a little tap would scare you so much.”

The driver replied,“Sorry, it’s not really your fault. Today is my first day as a taxi driver. I’ve been driving a Hearse for the last 25 years.”

Even in our profession, moments of humour remind us that we’re all navigating life together.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a true rock and roll legend, Neil Sedaka.

His unforgettable voice, timeless songs, and extraordinary talent brought joy to millions around the world. From the early days of rock and roll to decades of chart-topping hits, his music became the soundtrack to so many lives.

Though he may have left this world, his melodies will live on forever in our hearts. May he rest in peace and rise in glory, reunited up in the heavens with the true legends of music, where his song will never fade.

Forever remembered. Forever loved.
