It’s one of the most common questions I hear before a hypnotherapy session: “What if I can’t relax?”
The good news? You don’t have to force relaxation — and you can’t “get it wrong.”
Hypnotherapy isn’t about being completely still or “zoning out.” It’s about guiding your mind into a gentle, focused state — a bit like when you’re deeply absorbed in a book, or daydreaming on a quiet afternoon.
Even if your thoughts are busy or you feel tense at first, that’s perfectly okay.
Your subconscious mind is still listening, still absorbing, and still responding to positive suggestion.
Most people find that, as they begin to feel safe and supported, their body naturally softens, their breathing slows, and their mind begins to let go — at its own pace. 🌸
