" My role in Care at Home Group is to oversee our office and care teams in the Cheshire area.
I liaise with local authority, professionals and CQC to ensure compliance and quality are maintained, As Care at Home group have several branches throughout, managers meet regularly to share good practice and look for opportunity where we can introduce fun elements, competitions and events for our teams and clients.
Along with the challenges there are many times where we have seen positive outcomes for clients and staff that remind me why I love my job. "

Today we are giving our learning and development department the spotlight. Meet Julia our Learning and development lead

"My role learning and development, My role is to teach carers how to comply with policy and procedures. Teaching them how to develop into care. Personal care, medication, Moving and handling, care standards.
We have a two-day face to face training where we can discuss talk and learn together. This will give the carers the opportunity to develop and learn new skills. We learn legislation and how to recognise abuse and how to report this to keep our clients safe and well. I like to share my knowledge and strive to empower carers to have courage and deliver excellence to our clients.
My favourite part of my job role is when I see a nervous candidate flourishing and enjoying the sessions. I like to hear laughter this makes training fun but knowledgeable.

I like to do refresher with candidates that have completed their years’ service and see how far they have come"

"My role is service scheduler for the Cheshire East and Cheshire West branch, day to day this entails scheduling client's calls to the correct times for them and then assigning this to care staff on a rolling schedule to ensure consistency week to week. I also bid on new packages of care with the intention for growing our runs for care staff.

My favourite part of the role is that every day is different as we work with different clients and staff"
