Today marks 16 years since I took over C V Gower Funeral Directors from the Gower family.
I’ll never forget that snowy day—bribing the bearers with bacon sandwiches and mugs of tea to dig the hearse out of the garage!
So much has changed over the years, but one thing remains the same: the loyalty and dedication of my amazing team. My "boys" and Sue, along my family, they’ve been my rocks through every challenge. It’s been a tough couple of months, but, they have been by my side and we have got through it as a team.
Looking ahead, 2026 brings exciting updates: renovations to our Chapels of Rest and a stunning new range of memorial jewellery designed by a local jeweller.
Thank you to my team, my family, and every family who has trusted us during life’s hardest moments. It’s been an honour and the privilege to help and support all our families, to have walked along side them in the journey through their grief.
