Roar Loud Dads

Roar Loud Dads Roar Loud Dads exists to help relationships between dads and their kids. Stand with us and 'Roar Loud and Proud I'm a dad'. RUBBISH!

What we want dads to do:
Share activities you're doing with your kids, their achievements, your concerns, worries etc. ROAR LOUD

We are in the process of setting up a charity. Its purpose is to build relationships, support and empower dads, to be positive, pro-active role models in their children's lives. Roar Loud does not believe in reinventing the wheel. There are some amazing projects running in other countries and parts of the UK. We want to work with these great charities and organisations to bring the projects to a local audience. Dads play such an important role in the family unit, but through their past, the relationship with their partner, self-esteem issues and a lack of practical tools and opportunities, they feel like they can not be a good parent. We want local dads in Essex, London and neighbouring local authorities to be confident and supported in their role, which can have many positive benefits for their child's future. It is a proven fact that children that have a good relationship with their father:

-Excel in their studies
-Become healthier
-Develop a confident character

And not to mention the relationship with their partner flourishes.

-Family units are breaking down
-More men suffer from Pre and Post Natal Depression
-More men die of illnesses because they do not check themselves or seek medical advice
-Domestic violence is increasing year on year
-The number of children with depression is increasing
-The number of children self-harming has gone up

We simply want to make dads feel valued, cared for and provide them with tools to:

Roar Loud and proud, I'm a dad.

Day 32 - Captains Log

Today for part of our home schooling session the twins learnt about liquids, solids, steam and melting. What better way to illustrate this than to use chocolate 😁.

We also practiced writing words which had ar, or, oo, igh and ee. The girls walked the plank if they got it right. ⚓️

Day 29 Lockdown - Captains Log

Today the 3 are back doing home schooling.
I’m not gonna lie the first part was hard work. They took a while to get back into it. 1. Write a letter to your teacher, 2. Maths was units of water using different objects, fun. 3. P.E. Daddy Drill Sgt style.

Day 28 Lockdown - Captains Log

A concern I've had since the lockdown started is the likelihood of a major increase in domestic violence. The fact that couples are forced to stay in confined spaces together away from friends and family is a weapon that the abuser can use to control the victim.
I found the Sky News report yesterday very worrying.

A surge in abuse-related searches could be a sign people are identifying themselves as victims for the first time, an expert says.
