I had been suffering with arthritis at the base of my thumb for some time and following a consultation with Mr Wimsey, it was decided that the best course of pain management was to undergo a trapeziectomy operation on my right hand.

Following the operation performed by Mr Wimsey, I am pleased to be able to say that the pain in my thumb has gone and the range of movement is back to normal.

I would like to thank Mr Wimsey and all the staff at both The Rivers Hospital and The Holly for the treatment and care both before and after my operation.

In 2020 I was diagnosed with a left carpal tunnel after experiencing increasing pain and discomfort, loss of sensation and grip strength. I saw Mr Wimsey's website and decided to make an appointment as I was aware that due to the Coronavirus pandemic my chances of having the problem corrected by the NHS would be highly unlikely. I attended the Rivers Hospital on the 17th September for my consultation and on the 02nd October I had a nerve conduction test following this I received my appointment for carpal tunnel release on the 07th December. I cannot thank Mr Wimsey enough, the procedure was carried out expertly and I experienced almost complete relief immediately following. Within a few days, following my physiotherapy exercises I virtually had all sensation back, I could grip and hold items and no more pain, you can't even see any scar.....I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present. I would like to thank Mr Wimsey and his team for the exceptional professionalism, treatment and care that I received.

I self funded to have my Dupuytens Contracture corrected by Mr Wimsey in August at The Rivers Hospital and am thrilled with the outcome of the operation. He has done a fantastic job.
