'Cheerful, sunny and special' - Memorial for 21-year-old who died of rare disease

Maddie King, who worked at Saxmundham Health, died aged 21 in April from a rare neurological disease.

Saxmundham Health Flu and Covid Clinics 2025

We will be running our annual clinics on the following dates and times:

Saturday 4th October 2025 from 8:30am

Weekday clinics from 1st October after 3pm

These are by appointment only

If you have not received an invite and meet the eligibility criteria please call the surgery on 01728 602022 (after 2pm)

Flu Eligibility

Pregnant women

Adults aged 65 and over, those in a clinical 'at risk' group (an ‘at risk’ group includes conditions affecting the; lungs, heart, liver or kidneys, immunosuppression, chronic neurological diseases, diabetes and those with a BMI over 40), close contacts of immunocompromised individuals, those in care homes, carers and frontline workers in a social care setting.


Covid Booster Eligibility

You can get a Covid Booster vaccine if you:
Are aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 17 June 2025)
Are aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment
Live in a care home for older adults

We have had a major electrical fault at the surgery which means our clinical systems are not accessible and our phones are not working either. We are working to resolve this as soon as possible, however we are unable to book appointments; make or receive phone calls, or dispense medication at this time. We will update you as soon as we can. SURGERY NEWS

Saxmundham Health will be closed on Thursday 31st July between 8am and 2pm for the funeral of our dear colleague Maddie.

The Dispensary will continue on reduced operations after 2pm.

We thank our patients for their support and consideration at this difficult time.
