We’re hosting a FREE 'Ways to Wellness' Event this Wednesday, 10th December at Otley Village Hall (IP6 9NT) from 2pm - 4pm.

Representatives from a range of services dedicated to your health & wellbeing will be joining us, including Wellbeing Suffolk and SCC Adult Community Services as well Suffolk Sight who will be able to provide advice and support for those living with sight loss.

If you are looking for home safety, home help or home care, Lofty Heights and Christies Care Ltd will be on hand to answer any questions.

You can chat with Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service about home safety and arrange a free home assessment visit to make sure your home is prepared in case of a fire emergency or to East Suffolk Council on everyday issues.

Everyone is welcome and light refreshments will be provided.

🌟 Introducing Christies Care's Mental Health First Aider Team!🌟

Last month, Christies Care celebrated the first-ever Mental Health First Aider Day in England!

A huge thank you to our amazing MHFA team, Nikki, Leni, Emma, and Hannah. We’re so lucky to have you supporting us in our office every day. 💚

We marked the occasion with raising money for Samaritans and enjoyed a fun quiz, baked goods and some healthy office competition during a fierce ping pong tournament! 🏓 Congrats to our winners, Ben and Juliette!

A few weeks ago, one of our clients had to spend some time in hospital, so one of our Care Management Team Members thought to send her a soft, fluffy toy and a card to help brighten her days and feel a bit more at ease while being away from home.🧸💌

While our office teams are not there in person to see the difference a small, thoughtful gift can make, it means the world to us when we receive feedback like this:

"Her face lit up when she saw the soft toy you sent. I gave it to her when I arrived this morning and she just hugged it and stroked it. She loves how soft it is and I think it really made her day. The card also hit the spot! She was so delighted that the dog looked just like her own! She has propped it on the bed next to her so she can look at it while on her side. On her behalf, thank you. Those really, really cheered her up!” 🐶💛

Going the extra mile for our clients is not something we teach our carers or office teams. It's who we are as a company, and is reflected at every level of the service we provide.💛✨

Christies Christmas Charity Day!⛄🎄

Yesterday morning, our Charity Champions Team treated us to a wonderful Christmas menu of flavoured coffees and delicious baked treats. ☕🍰 This year, we raised money for Halesworth Community Larder, who provide a welcoming space where people can share, donate, and receive food and household essentials, supporting families and individuals in need.

🎄 A huge thank you to everyone at Christies who got involved, donated, and helped make life a little easier for our community this Christmas. ✨

🎨 A simple outing, a memory treasured, a picture to frame.

One of our lovely client, a gifted artist, recently took a short trip up to the South Downs with his carer, Jane. 🌿🚗
At the top of the hill, they sat down, he opened his sketchbook, and began drawing, for the first time in a long while.

"His joy was unmistakable." Jane said.
She shared the sketch with his wife and children, and they were all thrilled to see him out and creating again.💕

🖼️ The picture is now being framed and gifted to Jane for Christmas, as they say it would not have existed without her gentle encouragement to go out and enjoy the landscape he loves so much.

A simple outing, but such a powerful reminder of how impactful these moments can be.

After a 10K race in Southwold earlier this month, Adam set off again in his Christies Care gear for a beautiful race in Henham this past Sunday. 🌳☀️

🎶✨ Christies Care is proud to support Sam Clegg’s “Angel on the Tree” Christmas Charity Campaign, raising awareness and funds to combat loneliness among our elderly communities. 💙

If you haven't seen the full music video, we highly recommend it. (Although fair warning, you may want to keep a tissue handy!)

This is such an important message and cause, especially around Christmas, when many people feel their loneliest.
