🎶✨ Christies Care is proud to support Sam Clegg’s “Angel on the Tree” Christmas Charity Campaign, raising awareness and funds to combat loneliness among our elderly communities. 💙

If you haven't seen the full music video, we highly recommend it. (Although fair warning, you may want to keep a tissue handy!)

This is such an important message and cause, especially around Christmas, when many people feel their loneliest.

Camino for Charity 🥾🇵🇹🇪🇸

"Two days before setting off on our 11-day walk along the Portuguese Coastal Camino Way, I broke my toe.

But this was mine and my daughter's bucket list journey, she was raising money for charity, and I was certainly not about to postpone!" 💪

Our amazing Local Area Manager, Christine, and her daughter, Lauren, with a few blister plasters, completed an incredible 260km, starting in Porto and finishing at the stunning cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

"We greeted fellow travellers with “Buen Camino” wishing each other a safe and successful journey. We trekked along beaches, through vineyards, fields, sleepy villages and woodland.

Life was beautifully simple, and the outside world, easily ignored (although sore feet and blisters are more difficult to forget!)

My daughter Lauren is raising money for HCPT, a UK-based charity for children with disabilities or who are disadvantaged, taking them away for a holiday, a highlight of their year, and a time to just be kids."

We’re so proud of Christine and Lauren for completing this trek for a great cause, and want to say a special thank you to everyone in and out of the office who donated 💚

🍝 Expert Care with a side of fresh homemade pasta.

Our live-in carer at Nowton Court Luxury Supported Living, recently treated residents to deliciously fresh, homemade pasta, just one example of the extra touches our carers bring to work every day.

Alongside live-in care, we also provide expert, personalised hourly care, working hand-in-hand with Nowton Court to make sure residents feel supported, valued, and cared for. 💙

These moments and our shared dedication make our partnership all the more special.

A Purr-fect Purr-formance!

A massive WELL DONE to our incredible client Marian and her carer Jo, who took centre stage last week at The Lax Factor, Laxfield Village Hall's sold-out talent show.

They performed a singing (meowing) cat duet! 🐾🎶

Jo said, "I started laughing and couldn’t stop! So we actually didn’t get through all the meowing, but it wasn’t so bad because the audience started laughing too. Many said they were crying with laughter, and making people laugh was Marian’s goal. It was a great night!”

While we’re not sure if they’ll be releasing an album anytime soon, we do know this – we love seeing our clients and carers having such fun together. 💙

Calling all Ipswich Coffee Lovers, and those just looking for a warm, cozy drink and chat!

To all our clients and carers in Ipswich, this is a wonderful initiative by the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, supporting the community throughout Autumn and Winter.
