Scarborough Scooter Hire is up for sale. The company generally operates within a radius of 20 miles of Scarborough from Whitby down to Bridlington and out to Flamingoland. I started this company as a sole trader 3 years ago purely to put solar panels on my house. I've now achieved that and would like to get back to my retirement, If you're looking for a mega bucks quick earner, this isn't it. If you're looking to earn some pin money, maybe as an early retiree or empty nester, this may be it. Last year I earnt barely £50/month but this year has been stupendous earning almost £5000 in the first 4 months of this financial year (beware this is a seasonal business but I am taking bookings for autumn/winter 25/26) What do I want for it? Not much, maybe £1000 for the website scarboroughscooterhire.co.uk (take a look). What do you get? A fleet of 10 mobility scooters, the website, company mobile, a fantastic (flawless) reputation (nothing less than 5* reviews on Facebook and Google) and even a couple of celebrity customers. 1 to 1 support from me for a few weeks while you get the hang of it. What do you need? Bags of compassion for people less able than the majority (I won't sell to anyone that doesn't demonstrate this). Somewhere to store up to 10 small mobility scooters. An SUV or small van capable of transporting up to 3 scooters at a time (a Ford Kuga is ideal). Energy, a thick skin and a 'can do' attitude (in this case the customer IS always right) Take this on and I promise you'll have a rewarding and joyous pastime. You will however find yourself working from dawn to dusk some days, especially in the summer.
