Ok, let’s be very honest.
The fastest way to lower cortisol (aka stress) is to remove the stressor.
But… most of us don’t have life-threatening situations.
The stress is your boss, your kids, grandkids, your to-do list… or your own thoughts.
And we can’t just remove those.
But, we can change how the body responds.
We have very old yoga techniques that still work today - try slow breathing.
It works through the parasympathetic nervous system (your “rest & relax” mode),
so you can feel calmer within 1–5 minutes… and with regular practice, it can help lower cortisol over time.
