BMI stands for Body Mass Index. It is a simple calculation that uses your height and weight to estimate whether your weight is in a healthy range 📊

Knowing your BMI can help identify if you may be underweight, overweight or at risk of health conditions linked to weight, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure.

While BMI is a useful starting point, it does not tell the whole story 👇
Waist measurement is also important, as carrying extra weight around your middle can increase your risk of health problems, even if your BMI falls within a healthy range.

🛡️ Protect yourself and others with vaccinations

There is currently an outbreak of meningococcal disease (a form of meningitis) in Kent. While meningitis is uncommon, it can become serious very quickly.

💉 Vaccination is the best protection. Please make sure you and your family are up to date with routine vaccines.

📖 You can check your vaccination history on the NHS App or speak to your GP practice if you’re unsure.

⚠️ Early symptoms can feel like flu (fever, headache, vomiting, cold hands and feet), but can worsen quickly. Do not wait for a rash.

❗ If you are concerned, call NHS 111, or 999 in an emergency.

Stay strong. Get vaccinated.

The HPV vaccine helps protect against several cancers, including cervical cancer, as well as cancers of the mouth, throat and ge****ls.

It’s offered to boys and girls in school to help protect them later in life.

The vaccine does not protect against all HPV types, so attending cervical screening when invited is still important.
