At the weekend, George & his wife Kelly were delighted to attend the SAIF independent funeral directors National AGM.

SAIF is an independent funeral directors association which provides such vital support to over 1000 funeral directors across the length and breadth of the country

George has served as a National Executive Committee Member since 2023 and in 2025 took over as National Professional Standards Chair overseeing the professional standards and complaints procedures within the organisation.

On 8th March we were delighted to lead with our friends at Saint Cecilia's Care Group & Roberts Florist for the first Covid Service of Reflection in Scarborough.

The service was beautifully conducted by Revd Mike Cansdale & Anna Wallace along with some meaningful musical performances by local vocalist Neisha Kellett.

A key part of the service was the memories of the pandemic shared by those who worked during the pandemic and those who lost loved ones.

It was great to have some support by BBC Look North, BBC Radio York, Greatest Hits Radio, This is the Coast and The Scarborough News.
