As we sign off for 2025. It has been our privilege to support families through some of their most difficult moments, and we are truly grateful to everyone who placed their confidence in us. We also extend our thanks to our dedicated team and the local community who continue to support us in so many ways.

As we move forward into 2026, our commitment remains unchanged: to provide a caring, personal and professional service, treating every family we serve with dignity, respect and understanding.

We cannot fault the professional service we received from G Roberts Funeral Directors. Care and compassion were shown at all times and we would strongly recommend this company. A special shout out to Amelia who made a difficult time more bearable, her kindness and help were very much appreciated.

A very thoughtful review from Elsa following a recent funeral.

Although this was a very sad time of our life's as a family , every single member of staff did their upmost to support and guide us in this very difficult time .

The home or office visits were extremely professional but also friendly and warm . We had several visits to the chapel and were supported every step of the way, nothing was too much trouble . The day of the service was hard but made so much easier by the support from staff who guided us and set the expectations from the very start so we knew what the day ahead of us would look like.

Honestly can not fault them and forever grateful they handled everything for mums funeral, what am amazing team you all are .

Thank you from each and every one of us .

Yesterday we had the chance to come together as a full team at the wonderful Seven Coffee House. It’s rare that we’re all in one place, so taking the time to share a meal and conversation meant a lot.

We’re fortunate to have such a strong team, all committed to the morals of our independence. Moments like this are a reminder of the people behind the work and the values we share, especially at this time of year.

Thank you to Izzy and her team at Seven Coffee House for their wonderful food and hospitality!

We will be open from 10am - 2pm tomorrow (20th December) for anyone who wants to place their Christmas orders or just pop in and say hello 👋

Whilst some of our renovations are still ongoing, we felt like the shop is at a good enough stage to be open… finally!!!

Reminder that Christmas Pre orders are open until 12 Noon on Sunday so make sure you get your orders in to avoid disappointment 🎄

Our beautiful fleet at United Benefice of St Columba and St James with Holy Trinity, Scarborough for a funeral service to remember a well respected member of their church community.

Over the past week, we have been pleased to forward the donations raised at our Annual Memorial Service to two deserving charities: Safe and Sound Homes Scarborough (SASH) and The Thalia-Beau Foundation.

The total includes funds raised through the raffle and contributions from the congregation, which were generously matched by the company. Since the first service thirteen years ago, the Annual Memorial Service has raised more than £6,000 for a range of local charities, including St Catherine’s Hospice, the RNLI, Scarborough Survivors, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, and Dementia Forward.

Supporting local causes in this way is a unique and meaningful part of our role within the community — a community we have been proud to serve since 1986.

Earlier in the week, we were proud to support the Annual Toy Celebration and supported many other local companies and organisations by donating a selection of toys to go to support those children who may be without or have very little this Christmas.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Memorial Service on Saturday. It was a very moving event to allow our families and the community to come together to commemorate the lives of lost loved ones.

We are delighted to announce that the raffle and collection has raised £200.00 for each of our nominated charities.

Today we bring the community together for our Annual Memorial Service at Queen Street Methodist Central Hall. Doors open at 1:15 ahead of the service starting at 2:00.

This year we will be holding a collection to support the work of The Thalia-Beau Foundation and SASH two very worthy local charities.
