Congratulations to Adam, our Funeral Director, who took on Get Caked this morning at Sledmere House.

In true Adam fashion, he signed up for the event some time ago, promptly forgot about it, and only received the reminder the night before leaving little room for second thoughts!

What Adam thought was advertised as a 5k quickly became a 5-mile challenge packed with obstacles, including hay bales, water, and a fair share of mud. Despite this, Adam crossed the finish line in an impressive 1 hour 15 minutes.

All in aid of charity,proving that even on a Sunday, Adam is more than capable of going the extra mile… quite literally.

A fantastic effort for a great cause — well done, Adam!

Today, we pause to remember the 97 lives lost at Hillsborough Stadium during the Hillsborough disaster on 15 April 1989.

As a funeral service, we stand in quiet reflection with the families, friends, and all those whose lives were forever changed by this tragedy.

Beyond rivalry, beyond loyalty, this was a moment that united the football world in grief and in remembrance.

Today, and always, we honour the memory of those who never came home.

I've been obsessed with it since it first popped up in my messages... I've spent the week painting, talking about painting, or dreaming about painting... there hasn't been the headspace for much else!

The Bridge... symbolises the connection between people and places wherever they may be... The Beacons represent direction in the darkness... lighting the way ❤️

I have absolutely loved painting this... watching it become ❤️
