It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of George, who died peacefully at home in the arms of his loving partner, Yvonne, on Thursday 9th April 2026, aged 71 years.
A devoted dad to Adam, Robert, Leanne, Donna, and Michael, and a very special grandad to all 11 of his grandchildren. George will be fondly remembered by all who knew him, especially his fishing friends 🎣
A funeral service to celebrate and remember George’s life will take place on Monday 27th April 2026 at 2:00pm at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe, followed by a burial service within the grounds, where he will be laid to rest beside his great-grandson, who sadly passed away recently.
Family flowers only, please, but donations are welcome in memory of George to support the local Macmillan team & cystic fibrosis chairty.
The family kindly request attendees wear smart casual attire.

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sandra on Sunday 5th April 2026 at Scunthorpe General Hospital, aged 75 years.

A devoted wife to Terry, the most amazing mum to Sharon, Lee and Andrea, and a much-loved mother-in-law to Jase, Tracey and Baz. A special Nanna to Aiden, Ryan, Dan, Jordan, Lauren, Connor, Josh and Kiera, and a proud Great Nanna / Nannie to Esme, Parker, Aubery, Erin, Koa, Hudson and Millie.

Sandra was loved by everyone who knew her and will be sadly missed.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Sandra’s life will take place on Wednesday 29th April, 12:40pm at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe.

Family flowers only please. If you wish to make a donation, it will be gratefully received in memory of Sandra for Jerry Green’s Dog Rescue 🐕

Happy 6th Birthday to our little funeral home ♾️

It’s hard to believe that 6 years ago we opened the doors to what was once just a dream ❤️

Since then, we’ve continued to grow stronger, always staying true to what we set out to do — caring for every family who walks through our doors in their time of need, with the utmost compassion, professionalism, and a touch of normality… just as we’ve always said, a true home from home 🏡

We couldn’t be prouder of the incredible team around us — all our fabulous bearers, Andy who kindly volunteers his time around the building, keeps our limo looking tip-top, and supports us on funerals — and of course Mason, who we joke is the real boss because whatever he says goes 🤣

Adele and I are so grateful for all the love and support we’ve received over the years ❤️

Wilson & Cooper isn’t just a job to us… it’s our life ♾️

Last week, we had the honour of carrying out a truly moving and deeply special farewell — not just for one beloved family member, but for two brothers who passed away less than 24 hours apart 💔

One funeral is incredibly hard for any family, but to face two is simply unimaginable. Their sister showed such strength and love, doing them both so proud. Even on such a dark and difficult day, there were moments of warmth and light that will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts remain with the brothers’ family during this heartbreaking time ❤️

Yesterday, we were honoured to be joined by these beautiful horses as we gave a much-loved young man a truly special final farewell.

With the sun shining and such calm, gentle presence, they brought something incredibly meaningful to the day. They were impeccably behaved and a touching part of the service.

It was a true honour to have you as part of this farewell 🤍

This year it was Steph & Andrew’s turn to hunt for the hidden egg in our latest delivery of 16 coffins! ⚰️👀
Safe to say, it was a very well-earned reward after moving all of those! 🐣💪

It has truly been an honour working alongside you over the past six years. From your very first funeral with Wilson & Cooper, to the many families who have continued to request you for your wonderful, personal service — you have made such a lasting impact.

After many meaningful farewells over the last six years, I am closing this chapter of my working life for a while - with gratitude for every family served...

Today I conducted my final service, for the time being, as a funeral celebrant. Today's ceremony was an emotional and deeply personal one, as it was for a dear member of my family.

This work has never just been a job to me - it has been a privilege: to stand alongside families in their most difficult moments, to help honour lives, tell stories, and create meaningful farewells has been something I will always carry with me.

However, due to a continued decline in requests for celebrant-led services, I have made the difficult decision to step back from this role.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to every family who trusted me to be a part of such an important moment. Your kindness, openness, and the stories you've shared have left a lasting impression on me.

Though I am stepping away from officiating, I will always value the connections made and the lives I’ve had the honour to help celebrate.

Thank you for your support and trust in me over the years: it has been an honour.
