❗ Important Update Regarding Meningitis B Vaccinations❗

We’ve noticed an increase in calls and messages from patients asking about the Meningitis B (MenB) vaccine. It appears that some local schools may have sent a message to students and/or parents advising them to arrange this vaccination privately. However, some patients have called us to try and arrange a vaccine through ourselves.

Unfortunately, the Meningitis B vaccine is not provided on the NHS (outside of the routine childhood schedule for babies). If you do wish to have the vaccine, it will need to be arranged privately through a pharmacy or private vaccination clinic.

Government-approved, accurate information can be found on the UK Health Security Agency's website at the following link: https://ukhsa.blog.gov.uk/2026/03/18/meningitis-b-outbreak-what-you-need-to-know/

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

There is currently an outbreak of meningococcal disease (MenB) in Kent. This blog post includes information on MenB and this outbreak, what to do if you are affected and where you can get antibiotics and who is being offered a vaccine.

With around 3 million people at risk of malnutrition in the UK and over 25 million in the G8 countries we need to engage opportunities to raise the awareness of the risks and promote the good practices that can help prevent malnutrition and dehydration. Preventing malnutrition and dehydration improves health and well-being and helps to reduce the burden on the health and social care services in treating and supporting those suffering from under nutrition and dehydration.

World Sleep Day 2026 is Friday 13th March and incorporates the theme Sleep Well, Live Better.

The scientific evidence is clear: your sleep is essential to health and wellbeing. Good sleep promotes wellness and resilience while poor sleep negatively impacts almost all aspects of your body and mind. Your sleep is just as important as nutrition and exercise!

It’s time to make your sleep health a priority. Here is how to start:
• Maintain a regular sleep schedule.
• Create a relaxing environment for sleep.
• Reflect during your day: do you feel rested?

Further information can be found on the World Sleep Day website >

World Sleep Day (WSD) is an annual celebration of sleep & call to action on important sleep issues organized by World Sleep Day Committee of World Sleep Society
