Anyone with any suspicion of fraudulent activity taking place is strongly encouraged to contact your Local Counter Fraud Specialist or the NHS CFA in the first instance.

The NHS Counter Fraud Authority has today (19 June) been granted a confiscation order that forces former NHS manager Thomas Elrick to return £175,000 that he defrauded from the NHS or face a two year jail sentence if he fails to pay.

Today is Maternity Support Worker (MSW) Day.

We’re extremely thankful for the hard work and support our MSWs provide to colleagues within the maternity department, but also to patients across the Humber Health Partnership. They work in the hospital and in the community, wearing either a pale grey or blue-striped uniform.

Our Director of Midwifery, Yvonne McGrath said: “Today we celebrate all of our amazing MSWs across the group. Thank you to each and every one of you for the support and care you provide not only to your service users and families, but your colleagues and teammates too. You are all a vital part of the huge jigsaw that is maternity care.”

🌍💚 We are proud to be one of the most pioneering NHS organisations in the country in using sustainable, green energy to power and heat our hospitals. 💚🌍

At Scunthorpe General, a ground‑breaking geothermal project is underway that will help to transform the site into one of the greenest healthcare facilities in the UK.
The system will harness reliable heat from deep below the hospital grounds to heat some of our buildings, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and supporting NHS Net Zero targets.

Group Deputy Director of Capital Services and Sustainability, Alex Best, said: “We believe this is important for a number of reasons. Firstly, we want to create healthy, clean environments for our patients, visitors and staff – and the wider communities living and working around our hospital sites.
“We also want to invest in technology that will help to make our buildings more efficient, creating comfortable spaces for patients to heal and recuperate, that are more economical to run.”

Alongside the geothermal energy project we're also making other sustainable improvements including new electric boilers, solar panels, upgraded windows and roofing, and a modern energy centre.

Any patients or staff travelling through the South Killingholme/Immingham area tomorrow please take note of the below and allow extra time to get to your appointments or shift

We are aware of a pre-planned protest involving vehicles that may cause travel disruption in the areas of Immingham and South Killingholme from early tomorrow morning and throughout the day (Monday, 24 November 2025).

Humberside Police officers will be in attendance to allow people to go about their lawful business.

We have our Christmas tree light switch-ons at NLaG next week! 🎄

If you're visiting a relative or coming in for an appointment and have time to spare, pop down to see the lights being switched on. They’ll be hot chocolate, sweet treats and Xmas music.

The dates are as follows (all at 4.30pm):

• Monday 24 November, Grimsby (grassed area near the nursery, just next to the road)

• Wednesday 26 November, Scunthorpe (in front of the Church Lane main entrance)

• Thursday 27 November, Goole (As you come into the hospital, it's on the right hand side on the area next to the bus shelter).
