Sarah and James love to roam and wander, experiencing all that nature has to offer to the soul, always looking out for new experiences and the natural feel good factor. After a bout of 'dry January' and even prior to this, they had been searching for healthy alternatives that culminated all their interests and where people could gather, through there searching this is when Seaham Wild Sauna was created. The reason behind it is simple; to bring a unique experience amongst the elements, creating a space for calm, connection and higher consciousness.

Meet Sarah

AKA the enabler, the one who encourages,

The one behind the scenes keeping it all flowing

Sarah feels deeply into the spirit of humanity and the bond people can truly feel when together in a space that allows depth and openness.

She loves the sauna as she feels it’s a space where she can release her soft soul.

From travelling the world she has experienced and immersed herself in many cultures and from that wanted to bring simple joy, well-being and connection with like-minded people in her home town of Seaham after finding herself back here during Covid.

After many walks along the beach casting thoughts and desires to the waves, hiking among breathtaking views to feeling free at various outdoor vibrant events, she couldn’t help but see the potential of what a space like the sauna could give. It has re-ignited her passion for creativity

Affecting tides as an untamed beast,
It teaches us the power of surrender and to accept,
And with safety in mind it has meant our sessions this Sunday will be postponed until a more favourable day is shown

Back on the Bay

We are leaving the sands of Seaham away to Pease Bay.

That reminds me of my days watching ‘home and away’ and although we aren’t in the summer season or the Australian climate, we will be bringing the wood-fired warmth of the sauna to the waves of the Scottish sea on

8th & 9th February

These sessions are open to park guests and the surrounding community.

Meet James

AKA: hunter gatherer (for wood), fire starter, the man behind the operation

The spark of Sui Cura’s creation.

After James had experienced a beach sauna session for himself, he realised he could relax, his mind was quiet and was able to stay focused long enough to read more than one page of his book, which is quite an achievement for an ADHD mind… the benefits of the sauna were so noticeable.

So noticeable that he wanted to create a space for others to feel the benefits and do so in his home town of Seaham.

A space for a community to grow among natural settings coupled with an activity to keep his mind occupied and ignited with a well-being stance, creating connection with others without the need for a pub which is so normalised in our culture.

He has bounds of energy, loves chatting with anyone who walks through the door and has a passion for the outdoors 🧡
