Today we worked with stone therapy. This works with teenagers well because it gives them a safe, tactile, and symbolic way to project and explore their inner world — making it easier for them to open up their thoughts and feelings. 💕

My job may be difficult at times but I do love it!

I suggested that a 13-year-old client paint or draw a picture of themselves happy. The image shows them sitting on a bench with a friend, surrounded by trees and a beautiful waterfall. My client clarified that they are happy because it's peaceful and they are with somebody who they can trust. 💕

Becky Holmes Counselling Therapy is celebrating its third birthday today! This year, I have logged over a 800 hours of counselling, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

I've seen people overcome a variety of obstacles in life. Having the courage and determination to communicate their thoughts and feelings in order to switch to a more positive and resilient outlook.

My work can be challenging, but it's also extremely rewarding! 💕
