The face behind the Sanctuary 🌿
I'd like to introduce myself.
My name is Mel (Melanie - if you're my mam lol) and I have been a qualified Nurse since January 2010. Yes, thats over 16 years experience working in the NHS, firstly as a Staff Nurse in Plastic Surgery, then as a Practice Nurse and now as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in a busy GP surgery.
I also started Melanie Aesthetics over 4 years ago and I have absolutely loved my Aesthetics journey so far. I am really passionate about rejuvenation and making you feel the best version of yourself.
Since I feel I have exhausted my tiny clinic room rental I decided now was the time to open my own clinic. Not just any clinic though... I am utilising my NHS medical experience to bring the first private healthcare clinic to Seaham and surrounding areas.
We will continue to deliver the highest standard of Aesthetics, but we have so many more exciting things to offer.
We will have a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals working under the Sanctuary roof, offering services that the NHS don't. Being a prescriber and CQC registered means the opportunities are endless in offering one to one care on a more personalised level.
We are also going to be an Aesthetics Training Academy offering beginner and advanced courses trained by experienced Aesthetics Nurses with ongoing support as you embark on your own journey.
One of the new services I am passionate about is TRT North East which is a CQC registered service offering private testosterone replacement services for men. We are talking comprehensive private blood testing, tailored regimes to optimise your levels to a therapeutic range, with ongoing regular monitoring in a secure and confidential environment.
I am so excited for our doors to open, May 2026 can't come quick enough.
