What is ADHD really?
So something hasn’t quite added up to for quite some time. I have been raising the question about why is there so many children being born and diagnosed with what the call “disorders or mental illness”
and why has there been so many adults discovering they also suffer this way in more recent years?
Now it could be a fact that it seems as though it is more, but actually people just didn’t use to talk about it or Recognise it as much in the past.
So we have been raising awareness more and more as time goes on and more and more people are speaking about it, helping more people to feel more comfortable to speak about it or recognise it in their selves.
I think this would likely be the case, my thoughts on this is that the stigma on mental illness or disorders has been so profound in the past that it has been suppressed deeply, because let’s face it nobody wants to be different, everybody feels the need to fit in to society and societies way thinking OR “societies way of programming”
People haven’t been given the chance to be equipped to handle other peoples judgements on them. I absolutely applaud all those that’s raising awareness on the subject, I feel very grateful that today we have this opportunity to just be ourselves as we are. Stepping out and into the brave to as whether we will be judged or not.
It’s time for change my friends.
Through my questioning on this subject I have been lead to my own discovery of ADHD .
Now I have not been diagnosed but I certainly have many many signs or symptoms.
That’s let me to the question what is ADHD really? I have always been on the fence about diagnosis of these type of illness/disorders “as they call it “
Because
I don’t see it as an illness at all but at the same time I never really knew how I saw it,
but knew there was more to it than meets the eye.
So I have come up with this.
as I Thought through it I realised that everybody is different right? we’re all different to each other, we have different bodies, different looks, different personality types, different blood types, different cells in our body, different cells in our brain, our brains are wired not the same as the next person. so what if maybe it is just that of difference and that we are wired a Specific way, and if we worked with the way that we are wired then we would bring something different into the world. we all have our own signature it should be a given that we think differently, that we act differently, that we do differently , that we receive differently, and if we understood it in that way we could work with each others differences and let them inspire us rather than judge it or wrong it.
When we look at the left and the right brain hemisphere and we see how different each side of the brain works we can start to notice how our brain is wired, whether it’s wired more to the right more to the left or more of a balance of the two. if we look into the right hemisphere of the brain we’re talking imagination, we’re talking creativity, we’re talking in touch with our emotional self, we’re talking sensitivity, we’re talking connection to energy, and we’re talking feeling rather than thinking.
The left side of the brain we’re talking logic, we’re talking proof, we’re talking digging for information, we’re talking physics, we’re talking touch, we’re talking Testing and seeing results . And I could go on.
Try seeking information yourself and see where you fit. More in the left more in the right or may be a balance of the two.
Weather we have any kind of illness or disorder or not this is still a fact with everybody on this planet.
But what we need to learn is that when we are showing signs of Let’s say ADHD then what we need is to learn how to navigate it ourselves not be put in a frame that their is something wrong with us.
Some of the signs can be a struggle maybe all of the signs that we have to deal with every single day. but there is a way to get through the struggles, by first of all seeing that there is nothing wrong and that you are wired in your own Unique way For a good reason. and it is up to you to navigate yourself and be open to it,
so that you can convey that to others, letting them see your differences as your special gift, something special to take on bored.
I am on my seeking journey to find the best way for me to navigate my signs of ADHD and any other traits that I may struggle with accepting that as a part of me.
In all of us there are highs and lows, there is light and dark and there are things we struggle with and things we find with ease, this is a part of our experience, we have the been given the birthright to except and express this in us all and be able to experience it freely.
And I think the best way forward is to be open and honest with each other, if we feel like crap then speak it, if we’re finding it hard then say it, if we’re having a good day then be it. We can work together in this way instead of ripping each other apart, pointing the finger or or simply not taking the time to understand.
But we first of all we need to except ourselves for the complete way that we are warts an all
To have the freedom to express ourselve.
Peace and love to each one of you🙏
