In complex personal injury and clinical negligence cases, the quality and credibility of expert evidence is critical. The right insight, delivered clearly and accurately, can make all the difference to how a case progresses. One of the most effective ways to achieve this is by using a multidisciplinary expert witness panel.

Yesterday’s national SEN protests were a powerful reminder that every child deserves the right to education, opportunity, and support.

Across 97 locations, shoes were left out — each pair symbolising a child who is currently out of education or has been let down by the system that was meant to support them.

We’ve created a short video showcasing these moving displays, as our way of standing in solidarity with families, educators, and advocates who are calling for change.

At Circle Case Management we believe no child should be forgotten. Every young person deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive — regardless of their needs or circumstances.

It’s time for a system that truly includes every child.

Are you working on cases where decision-making capacity is in question? The latest article from Circle Case Management tackles how Occupational Therapy and Mental Capacity Assessments can be a game-changer for client autonomy and robust legal decision-making.

Here’s why it’s worth a read:
Nichola Ryder outlines the foundational role of the Mental Capacity Act 2005—which balances empowerment of individuals with protection when capacity is lacking.
It highlights how Occupational Therapy brings a tailored, person-centred approach to assessments: using visual aids, graded communication, support at the right moments.
Nichola explains three key scenarios where an independent capacity assessment is particularly impactful (e.g., deputyship, testamentary capacity, property & finance decisions).
💡 Why this is relevant to you as a solicitor?
When advising on capacity matters (LPAs, wills, property decisions), having a well-structured assessment can reduce risk.
As Expert evidence becomes more critical, understanding the role of OT in assessing capacity gives you a sharper lens.
Organising support adjustments in the assessment process means you’re better prepared for challenge or dispute.

📣 Tell us your thoughts...

How often do capacity issues arise in your caseload?
