🧠 Myth-Busting Monday
❌ “You always need to see a GP for a cold.”
Most colds improve on their own within 7–10 days.
You can usually manage symptoms at home with:
• Rest
• Plenty of fluids
• Paracetamol or ibuprofen (if suitable for you)
• Advice from your local pharmacist
Book an appointment if:
• Symptoms last more than 3 weeks
• You have chest pain or difficulty breathing
• You have a high temperature that isn’t improving
• You feel significantly worse rather than better
Pharmacists are highly trained and can advise on many minor illnesses without the need for a GP appointment.
