If your nervous system still feels on edge despite all the “right” practices, it’s not a discipline problem. It’s a capacity problem.

Regulation comes from less, not more.Fewer inputs, small, clear signals of safety.

Here’s one to try today.
To learn the first step to calm thier body that I teach clients in my 12 week programme, comment ‘body’ for a free space at my body release workshop.

Firstly, thank you so much for following me, commenting on my posts and being in my world.

I've just hit 9,000 followers, which I'm totally blown away by!

To celebrate I'd like to offer you all a space in my upcoming February Body Release Workshops. In the workshop we'll map your own unique body response to stress and I'll show you two techniques that I use with my clients in my 12 week programme to begin releasing stress from your body. The workshops are 40 minutes long

These are normally £97 but I'm offering you all a free space as a thank you for being here. Comment 'body' and I'll send you the link to book your seat.

If your body feels stuck in high alert even when life slows down this is for you.
You’re not broken. Your nervous system is just protecting you.

Try this breath first thing in the morning for 5 minutes and immediately before bed for 5 minutes.

Comment “CALM” if you want my full 10 minute flare-up SOS routine.

When my client came to me his body felt completely out of control:

Gut flare-ups: 4/5 severity, happening almost every week

Emotional grief and anger: 4/5 carried quietly for years

His gut would flare without warning. His body felt tense and guarded. Underneath it all, there was a lot of unprocessed hurt. He didn’t trust his body

What we did:

We didn’t override his body.

We focused on:

• Micro-regulation routines (gentle shaking of his body)

• Gentle nervous system cues
(using an anchor like a bracelet to touch)

• Small, repeatable safety signals
(tapping his body gently with his hand)

All things that take minutes, not hours.

2 weeks later, he sent me the WhatsApp below

👉 Comment AUDIT if you feel like your body is heavy and carrying a lot.
I’ll give you the first step to bringing your body back to safety, something you can do in less than 5 minutes.

If your gut flares, even when you’re “doing everything right,” this explains why.

·Random bloating (even after safe foods)
Digestion slows when your nervous system feels under threat so food sits longer and ferments.

˙Urgent bathroom trips when you finally try to relax
When stress drops, your body can release and relax (that includes feeling safe to go to the loo! )

˙Gut pain that moves or changes daily
Stress-driven gut symptoms aren’t fixed, they shift with your nervous system state.

˙Symptoms worse at weekends or on holiday
Your body waits until it feels “safe” to process stress — then symptoms show up.

You’re not imagining this.
Your gut isn’t broken.
It’s responding to stress patterns your body learned over time.
When safety increases, symptoms decrease

Quick win:
Before eating today, pause and take 3 slow exhales longer than your inhale.
