Who we are

We are Duncan and Val Robinson, we were both born and brought up in Settle by well known Settle families, and have both lived and worked within the community all our lives.

Duncan started his independent family run funeral directors in April 2008 having worked full time as a Funeral Director since 2000. He has been involved in the business since 1975 alongside his father-in-law Gus Porter, who worked in the business for 40 years serving Settle and the surrounding area.

Today we are still a family run business serving that same community, giving a caring, personal and dignified 24 hour service.

What We Offer

Our service to you starts when you first contact us, whether that is following the death of a loved one, or for advice and guidance beforehand. We are only a telephone call away and are here to guide you through a difficult time.

Tell us your thoughts and wishes; we are here to listen, advise and give guidance tailored to your personal requirements.

Whether you require a traditional funeral or something more modern, religious or non religious, we can help, and if you're unsure what to choose, we are here to talk you through all the options.

Bereavement is a difficult and emotional time for us all, which is why we are there for you every step of the way. We are happy to visit you in your own home, or you may prefer to visit us at our chapel of rest in Kings Mill Lane, Settle.

Our aim is to make a difficult situation more bearable for you.

Members

We are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors who regularly check our standards and facilities.

We also offer Golden Charter pre-paid funeral plans, offering the benefit of arranging and paying for a funeral in advance, thus sparing loved ones much of the burden at the time of bereavement.
