It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the division will be closing the doors at the end of June.

The division was started over 100 years ago (celebrating our 100 year anniversary in 2012).

Over the years there have been some amazing achievements and moments celebrated which would not have been possible without the tremendous support and dedication of some amazing people some of whom are no longer with us.

Since COVID the division has struggled to recruit new members to make things sustainable- this has been the case for many divisions within the County and at this time we are one of the very few youth divisions that have managed to remain open for as long as we have.

We will be at the division next Thursday 26th June between 6&7pm where we will have a small celebration of our achievements over the years.

Anyone is welcome to call in for a cuppa and a cake as I know there will be many people who have been involved since the division started.

There are far too many people to mention in terms of thanks as I'd be here all day but just to say thank you to the leaders who have given up their time over the years, the parents and children for enabling us to have such a successful division and to our local community for your support whenever we have done any fundraising!

If anyone who has been involved has any photos or memories to share please do so as we will be compiling things together to place into the St John archive for people to look back on in years to come.

We look forward to seeing anyone who wishes to pop in next week as we celebrate the phenomenal journey of our division ❤️

We are currently recruiting for-:

Badgers (5-11) and Cadets (11-16)

We meet on a Thursday (Term Time Only)
Badgers- 6-7pm
Cadets- 7:15-8:15pm

As well as first aid we teach a variety of subjects to the young people to enable them to progress towards the Super Badger and Grand Prior Programme.

Our September term starts on Thursday 12th September and we will be starting with first aid where the children will have the opportunity to learn essential life saving skills in a fun environment!!

Join us next Saturday 20th July for an afternoon of tea, coffee, cake and card games.
Our cadets have worked hard to come up with an event as part of their Project for the term and are inviting everyone to come along and join them.

!!WE ARE RECRUITING!!

We are currently recruiting for adult volunteers 21+ to assist with our young people.

This will include attending weekly sessions on a Thursday (6pm-8:15pm- term time only).

As well as first aid we teach a variety of subjects to the young people to enable them to progress towards the Super Badger and Grand Prior Programme.

We are looking for enthusiastic people with a willingness to get involved and help and develop our young people and our division.

Volunteers will need to register online with St John Cymru Wales and undergo basic first aid and safeguarding training.

This is a rewarding role within the organisation 😁

We currently have spaces Cadets (age 11 plus). The children learn all about first aid, as well as a variety of other subjects. They will gain badges and awards for completion of subjects, and cadets can take part in the Duke of Edinburgh award.

The groups will be starting back Thursday 18th January.We meet every Thursday 7:15pm for cadets.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Sovereign Head of the Order of St John, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. On behalf of the Priory for Wales, we offer our heartfelt condolences to The Royal Family and join St John families across the world in mourning her loss.
