Telephone cables at Kemsing surgery have been damaged such that they are blocking the car park. BT have been informed but it is uncertain when this will be fixed- please can we ask you to avoid the surgery car park if you have an appointment today.

Otford Medical Practice has some sad news to announce. Dr Rhiannon Corke will be leaving the surgery at the end of December. We wish her and her family the very best for the future and would like to thank her for all her hard work and dedication to the practice and patients of Otford and Kemsing over the last 10 years.

She has asked us to pass on this message:

“My time at Otford is sadly coming to an end as I am leaving Kent to move closer to family in Sussex. I have been at the practice for almost 10 years and despite the challenges the NHS has faced during that period I will be leaving with fond memories. There is a great team spirit at Otford and I wish the partners, the manager Sam and all of the rest of our hard-working staff and our lovely patients the very best.”

We are very pleased to announce that we have two new doctors starting with us.

Dr Rania El Matary will be starting on Wednesday 8th October and Dr Jeffrey Lau will be starting on Monday the 3rd November.

Otford and Kemsing will be running flu clinics this Saturday for eligible patients with pre booked appointments 💉

Top tips for the clinic:

1. If you can, please walk to the surgery as the car park gets very congested during flu clinics.

2. Please wear a short sleeve shirt/T shirt to ensure easy access to the shoulder.

3. There is no need to be early- try and stick to your appointment time as we will be getting people in and out quickly.

4. Coughs and colds are not usually a reason to postpone a flu vaccine.

5. Please be patient and kind- our staff will be working hard to keep everyone safe and on time 🤗🥰

Now school is back up and running the single track road up to Kemsing gets very busy - please can we ask parents not to use the surgery car park for dropping of their children as it causes significant congestion for patients and staff and can block access to the surgery to ambulances in an emergency.
