Wow, this is such an interesting piece of research

A 2024 study conducted by Kokubun et al. has revealed that continuous inhalation of Rose essential oil can increase the grey matter volume (GMV) of the whole brain and posterior cingulate cortex (PCC). The study was conducted on 50 healthy women, with 28 in the intervention group and 22 in the control group. The intervention group were asked to wear diluted Rose essential oil on their clothes for one month and the control group were given plain water. MRIs were taken before and after the intervention to monitor changes. This is the first study to show that continuous scent inhalation changes brain structure and could be of value in helping prevent brain atrophy and dementia.

During my Holistic Facial course I was introduced to the book by Caroline Hirons, which I absolutely love. I must admit, my own skin care routine has been basic at best for most of my life so far but since doing my course and getting this book I've upped my game and I can really feel the difference. This book is a really easy read, something you can pick up and put down when you have a few spare minutes here and there. She talks about your routine, where to spend money and where you can afford to be more economical. It's been so interesting to learn about Peptides, Retinol, Ceramides, Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid - all words that are thrown at us in media advertising but which I've ignored just assuming it's all marketing hype!
