A lot of people come to me in pain saying: “It just started for no reason.”
There is always a reason — it’s just not obvious.

Small imbalances build up over weeks or months until your body hits its limit.

My job is to find the real cause, explain it clearly, and fix it with hands-on treatment and simple exercises.

Most people with recurring back or neck pain think it’s just tight muscles… but the real issue is usually how the body is moving (or not moving).

When you ignore the pattern, the pain comes back faster each time — and you end up avoiding the gym, sport, or even long walks.

In clinic I look at why your body is overloading certain areas: joints, movement habits, breathing, posture, and how you compensate without realising.

Most people feel a real shift within 1–3 sessions.

Recurring ankle sprains can be a real problem but osteopathy can help to reduce the risk and get you back to your sport or activity. We don't just focus on reducing the pain. Just as important to me is working with you to build strength and resilience to minimise the chances of future recurrent injury.

A typical progressive treatment plan for a recurrent ankle sprain may include:
· Reducing the pain, protecting the ankle and allowing healing to begin
· Restore mobility and begin strengthening and proprioceptive exercises
· Build strength and resilience, movement control and stability
· Prepare the ankle for return to sport or activity to prevent re-injury
· Maintenance and prevention to minimise future risk

Six months ago, Chris thought his hiking days were over.
Nagging heel pain had turned every step into a challenge. He’d tried insoles, ice, stretches — nothing lasted.

That’s when he came in for some help.

We focused on rebuilding the foundation: strengthening muscles of the foot, restoring foot and lower body mechanics, and treating the underlying tension in the calves and plantar fascia.

🌿 Fast forward to today: Chris just finished a 5-mile walk round Knole Park — pain-free and smiling.

Tight muscle? Symptom or Problem?

If you are feeling tight and sore in a particular muscle it might not be that muscle that's the problem. It may just be the symptom.

While a muscle strain or muscle fatigue can be the primary issue, in many cases the reason it is sore is because another area of the body is not functioning the best it could.

So if, for example, you always have tight hamstrings, you stretch and get some relief but the symptoms come back, it might be time to look a little further afield to what might be happening to keep them in that tensioned state.

Book an appointment and we can work this out together so you can understand what is going on and, most importantly, make adjustments to resolve the problem, rather than just the symptom.
