Wow! What a busy weekend for Sevenoaks Riding Club members and the five qualifying teams that went to Arena UK in Grantham, Lincolnshire, for the Horslyxuk Winter Showjumping Championships. The journey of around 3 hours was very straight forward, even though a teammate's car broke down on arrival. However, we all rallied round to get them and the horse home safely after they had competed.

Sadly no placing for our 80cm seniors (Ella True, Alisha Barnes and Katie Illsley), 90cm mixed (Evie Kerry, Katherine Clewley, Liam Carmicheal and Katie Illsley) and 1m mixed (Katherine Clewley, Evie Kerry and Liam Carmicheal) teams, but we had plenty of lovely rounds with several clears or only 4 fault rounds despite very tricky, and certainly up to height, courses which included not only doubles but triple combinations too.

Our 80cm junior team (Lottie Titchner, Freya Entwistle, Catherine Grimes and Jasmine Illsley) came away with a very well-earned 10th place.

However, taking the spotlight, and bringing home a fabulous team 2nd place were our 70cm juniors consisting of Lottie Titchner (who also took 3rd as an individual), Freya Entwistle (who took 6th as an individual), Catherine Grimes and Alana Illsley. Very very well done and we hope everyoneโ€™s heart rates have gone down after the exciting jump off! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿด
