I have been practising yoga since the age of 17, thus 40 years of experience and have been lucky to have had some of the wonderful teachers already well established here on the Isle of Wight, as well as elsewhere. My passion for yoga and it's benefits to the body and to the mind, has increased over the last 15 years in particular and I see it as an aid to physical and mental well-being. I have raised 3 children whilst at the same time teaching french full time for 25 year sin an island high school and the practice of yoga has been my saviour on many occasions. I love to teach, so decided that I would like to pass on the benefits of yoga practice to others. With this in mind I completed my Hatha Yoga
Teaching Diploma with the British school of yoga in 2014. Since then I have continued to develop my own practice and attended London conferences and Independent yoga teacher network meetings. I have also trained in Teen Yoga and hope to introduce yoga into the local High Schools. It is my belief that yoga is accessible for all regardless of age, body type and ability. I have covered lessons for Julie Cole, Elizabeth Golding, and Carol MacCartney
My yoga sharing sessions include the physical practice of asanas, breath work or pranayama, meditation and relaxation. Yoga is a work in progress, a practice, an oasis of time for one to connect with the body and by focusing the mind allow it to switch off from the world of competition and fast pace.
