JOB VACANCY
Part-time Receptionist for busy GP Practice.
Hours to be agreed. Essential skills including good communication, patience, friendly and approachable. Previous GP reception experience is preferred.

We are looking for someone who is able to provide first class customer care to our Patients. They will be working as part of a team, but also able to use their own initiative. Good time keeping is also essential and flexibility to cover holiday/sickness.

Closing date for applicants is Friday 12th December 2025.

You may notice a test result appear in your NHS app referring to segmentation. Segmentation is a simple way in which we categorise patients based on their specific health needs. It helps us as a practice understand the individual needs of our patients based on their health and wellbeing to support personalised care and ensures you get the right support in a timely way. NO ACTION IS NEEDED FROM YOU.

Volunteers' Week 2024

Monday 3 June – Sunday 9 June 2024

This week we celebrate the volunteers who generously give their time to support the surgery team and our patients.

VEL Volunteers

Many of our patients have met our wonderful volunteers Nohemi and Indre at the surgery.
Nohemi can offer you a blood pressure or weight check and always has time for a friendly chat in private for anyone feeling a bit lonely. Please just ask our receptionists if you would like to meet Nohemi.
Indre offers patients who suffer from chronic pain one to one time to talk through options such as gentle exercise to improve their pain management and wellbeing. If you would like to see Indre at the surgery please ask one of the doctors to arrange a session.
Patient Participation Group (PPG)
Our Patient |Participation Group is a group of volunteer patients who meet on a regular basis to discuss the services that we offer, and how improvements can be made for the benefit of patients and the practice. The surgery really values their support. Our PPG meets every 6 to 8 weeks and new members are very welcome. If you would like to know more about the work of our PPG please email the surgery at kmicb.velsurgery@nhs.net or ask to speak to the practice manager.
