We were recently asked by New Road if we could help sponsor their team for the season — and of course, we were more than happy to help!

As winter approaches, we’ve made sure the team and managers are all kitted out with warm hats to keep them cosy on those cold match days. 🧢❄️

We’ve recently been asked if we could help support a Bereavement Café, and of course, we’re always happy to help wherever we can in our community.

This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time — a warm, welcoming space where people can come together, share, and find comfort in one another’s company.

✨ Behind the Scenes at Luke Allum Funeral Directors ✨

Being a funeral director isn’t a 9–5 job — it’s a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year commitment. While many take a well-earned rest on a Sunday, for us, it’s often a day of quiet preparation.

Mondays start early, and that means making sure everything is perfect the day before. Every car is checked, every detail double-checked, because families trust us to make everything just right when it matters most.

One thing I always say — there’s no point having clean cars if your garage is dirty.
It’s about pride in every part of what we do — seen or unseen — so that every farewell receives the care and respect it deserves.

Today, we had the honour of caring for a gentleman whose love for his motorbike was a huge part of his life.
At Luke Allum Funeral Directors, we believe every funeral should be as unique as the person we are saying goodbye to. That’s why we take the time to get to know their story, their passions, and the things that truly mattered to them.

As a fitting tribute, his final journey was made in a motorbike hearse with a sidecar – a special and personal way to celebrate the life he lived.

8 years today we first opened our doors. Over this time, we have had the honour of walking alongside families in our community during their most difficult moments.

We are truly proud of how far we have come, the trust that has been placed in us, and the care and dignity we have been able to provide. Every family we have served has shaped the business we are today, and for that we are deeply grateful.

From the very beginning, our aim has always been simple – to offer compassion, respect, and support when it is needed most. Looking back on these 8 years, we are humbled by the journey and hopeful for the future as we continue to serve our community with the same dedication.

✨ Thank you for allowing us to care for your loved ones and for making us a part of your community. Here’s to many more years of care.
