There has been a real focus on support for neurodivergence and SEND in recent years, as waiting times increase and demand for support increases families are feeling stressed and anxious. โจ
At Neurodiversity Sheffield early support is offered for families whose children or young people show behaviours indicative of neurodivergent conditions prior to diagnosis. ๐
It is recognised that there are often coexisting conditions that require support, and the drop-in cafรฉs offer the chance for parents and carers to receive support and information โ including educational, practical and emotional โ from the team and professional partners, including but not limited to:
โข ๐ง Nurses from Ryegate
โข ๐ฌ CAMHS primary mental health team
โข ๐ก Sheffield Family Hubs
โข ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง Parenting Hubs
โข ๐ค Parent Carer Forum
โฆ and more.
These drop-in cafรฉs also provide parents and carers with the opportunity to meet each other, share experiences, learn from and support one another, and feel less alone. โ๐ฌ
No diagnosis is required to attend drop-in cafรฉs.
