Gardening season is here and we are loving every moment of it! Our cress is almost ready to be taste and the grass has sprouted beautifully too 💚

The children have been so excited, rushing in every day to see how much everything has grown, it’s been such a joy to watch their excitement bloom and hear them chat as they stand at the window observing the changes to the plants inside and out! 😊✨

🌱 Tiny Gardeners in Action! 🌱

We’ve dipped our toes into planting season with some indoor Science Week experiments! Our over 2’s have planted cress in cotton wool (a childhood classic, of course! 🌿) and grass seeds into tights to grow their very own funny grass heads! 🪴😄

These little green wonders are sitting safely on the windowsill, and we can’t wait to watch them grow. We’ll keep you updated...how exciting!

👨‍🔬More Science Week Fun! ✈️

Last week the children enjoyed making their own paper aeroplanes as part of Science Week! They loved testing their designs and seeing whose plane could travel the furthest!

The gale force winds last week definitely gave the planes a little advantage....😉🫣sending some of them flying all the way across the car park! 🌬️✈️

We might need to repeat the experiment on a calmer day… or maybe just let the children believe they were the best planes ever!!! (Which, obviously, they were!)

The children have been busy scientists this week, carrying out lots of exciting experiments. 🧪👨‍🔬

One of their favourite activities was exploring floating and sinking using everyday items from around the room. They were fascinated to see what happened and loved predicting which objects would float and which would sink!

🌳👧👦 The Magic of Mixing Ages in Outdoor Play! 🌳👦👧

There's something truly special about seeing children of all ages playing together in our outdoor spaces. From toddlers toddling around to big kids climbing high, the magic happens when they mix and learn from each other. 👫

When our older children lend a hand to the little ones it’s more than just a nice gesture, it’s an opportunity for the big kids to practice responsibility and compassion. 🥰 Meanwhile, our youngest ones are soaking up lessons just by watching their older peers in action

And let’s not forget, mixing ages gives the whole group the chance to learn through play....and that’s the kind of magic we can all get behind!!!! ✨

The children have been outside this morning - lifting, climbing, balancing and running their way through the forest.

We’ve been soaking up the beautiful sunny weather too. A little natural vitamin D does wonders for growing bodies (and growing smiles!), and there’s something so calming about being surrounded by trees.

And honestly… that peaceful forest calm isn’t just for the children. After all the running, climbing and endless energy, our hard-working staff definitely need a little of that woodland peace too! A few deep breaths among the trees works wonders, before their next adventure begins!

Today our babies made the most of the first signs of spring sunshine ☀️🌿

We spent the morning outside exploring the forest, digging and building in the sand, zooming around in the cars, and even enjoying our snack outdoors!

There’s something so special about little hands and feet discovering the wonders of nature together.
We feel incredibly lucky to have so many beautiful, natural spaces for our babies to explore, learn, and grow in 💚🌼

"We need to tidy up for Luna New Year"

While exploring in the forest, the children began bringing their Lunar New Year learning into their imaginative play 🌳✨

They pretended to tidy their house and get everything ready for their celebrations, making sure everything was organised and prepared!

It’s lovely to see them acting out what they’ve learned and remembering so many little details 💕 We love watching their learning come to life through their play, it makes us so proud! 💡🌟

🐉✨ Happy Lunar New Year! ✨🐉

Our over 2's have been busy celebrating in the most magical way! They designed and made their very own dragon and brought it to life with a wonderful dragon dance, just like the vibrant performances you might see during Lunar New Year celebrations around the world 🌏

Thank you Sally for supporting this activity, it was beautiful to see all the excitement this brought to the nursery. 🥰

It was a girly day in the baby room this week, so we celebrated Galentine’s Day together with a Valentine’s sensory tray 💕

There were lots of opportunities for honing fine motor skills, practising early turn-taking, and best of all, plenty of giggles over the sweet-smelling petals 🥰

A big thank you to Janet for creating such a beautiful activity, it was so lovely to watch the children explore and enjoy every moment! 🌸
