Today at nursery, we came together to mark Remembrance Day and Armistice Day.

The children crafted beautiful poppies and learnt about their meaning. Our older children joined in a minute’s silence, showing incredible respect and understanding.

As the staff played The Last Post, the children immediately stood still and quiet, they knew what was about to happen. It was a truly beautiful and moving moment, demonstrating the caring and respectful families our children come from and the community around them.

🎃🌧️ Thunder, Lightning & Lots of Laughs, Our Autumn Fayre Raised £284.35! 💜

A huge thank you to everyone who braved the spooky weather...the thunder and lightning really made it feel extra Halloween-y! 🙈⚡👻

Our pumpkin patch was a big hit, and we loved seeing all your amazing creations. 🎃 Thank you for your generosity with raffle donations and for making it such a warm and wonderful event (even with the chilly rain!). ☔💛

A special shout out to Rachel and our amazing team for baking sweet treats and buying all those pumpkins!! Thanks to the teams generosity, every penny raised goes straight to Bluebell Wood 💜

🍃 Nature’s Art Studio! 🎨✨

Who needs paint and glitter when you have leaves, sticks, stones, and twigs right in your outdoor area? 🍂🪵 Our little explorers have been getting wonderfully creative, turning nature’s treasures into colourful, textured artworks.

From leaf collages to stick sculptures, every find has inspired a new masterpiece and the best part? No washing brushes required! 😄💛

It’s amazing to see how curious hands and bright imaginations can turn the simple things around us into something truly magical. Nature really is the best art supply! 🌱🌟

We are getting very excited for our autumn fayre tomorrow!! (all in aid of Bluebell Wood!)

We’ve been to pick up the donation buckets from Bluebell Wood and after meeting their amazing staff, it really hit home just how grateful they are for every single penny raised. 💜

Please remember to bring plenty of pennies with you! All our activities are free (raffle tickets just £1 each) thanks to the incredible generosity of the Willowtree staff, but every donation, big or small, will make a real difference to such a wonderful cause.

Let’s raise as much as we can for Bluebell Wood and show them how much our Willowtree family cares! 🌈✨

🚀 Space Week Adventures in the Over 2’s Room! 🌍✨

The excitement was out of this world when the children arrived at nursery to find a giant space rocket waiting for them! 🧑‍🚀👽 Complete with its own astronauts and a friendly alien, it instantly sparked imaginations and set the scene for a week full of discovery and wonder.

Throughout Space Week, the children explored the planets, learning their names, colours, and sizes, before painting their very own planets for a beautiful display. 🎨🪐 Our room has never looked so cosmic!

And of course… rockets everywhere! 🚀 They built them out of craft materials, shaped them with playdough, and even constructed them using magnetic tiles.

This topic brought so much joy and curiosity to our week. 🌟 It’s amazing to see the children making connections between what they see up in the sky...the moon, stars, and beyond

Here’s to big dreams, bright ideas, and little astronauts shooting for the stars! 💫

🌾 Harvest Fun Continues! 🍎✨

It might now be well into the swing of autumn, but we’re still busy learning all about the harvest as we watch the hardworking farmers around us. 🚜🍂

The children have loved pretending to be farmers themselves, digging up their own pumpkins and potatoes in play! 🎃🥔 Out in the garden, we even harvested our very own butternut squashes, which our wonderful Cook Sarah turned into some yummy roasted veg for lunch. 🧡🥕

We’ve also been apple printing and talking about all the amazing ways farmers help us, from growing our food to caring for the land. 🌱 It’s been a hands-on, heartwarming way to celebrate the season and appreciate all that autumn brings. 🍁
