Some ask,"when we are going on our next holiday?" We do enjoy what Kate and I do and it is a change from sitting in our flat listening to fireworks and back firing cars in the UK. Others go to the beach or maybe a nice country resort, some go to eat too much and get as drunk for as long as they can.
We choose to try and make a difference, we save as much as we can (some may say that we go without) neither of us feel deprived because we do not have 3 takeaways every week or go to the pub and pay exorbitant prices for a drink and eat expensive meals.
This does not make us heroes, it just means that we enjoy helping the donkeys, horses and those that want to help others that are less fortunate. We have some friends that do understand and help to support us whether it be an encouraging word, a financial donation or thumbs up for what we are doing. Thank you so much to the people that do help us, you know who you are, Kate and I and all the people and animals we come into contact with thank you for your help.
So yes we do enjoy our work which simulates a holiday for us, we are humbled and feel privileged that we are able to make a difference to an animal or someones life.
