To all my Sheffield and Northern friends & soulfam…

Would you like to come and steep in some delicious mid-summer celebrations this week? 🍓🌞

We’re going to be sipping Cacao at sunrise, basking in the brilliance of life’s wonder and celebrating the longest day in style with a medley of magic to enliven your spirit!

I’ll be holding a Cacao Ceremony at dawn on the 21st, alongside the badass mama who’ll be guiding us on a deep journey of sound healing, with her angelic crystal bowls.

I am so excited for this magic!

This is just part of a 24 hour celebratory Mid-Summer gathering at the beautiful Yeldersley Hall down in Ashbourne.

In the mix there’s Movement Medicine, Reiki Meditation, a sacred Tea Ceremony, Journalling, Drumming & a Medicinal Mushroom workshop- so plenty to satiate all of your Summer Solstice celebratory needs ☺️

A remembered real life relationship to the wet fertile soils of the Earth, where blood and dirt meet, as they are meant to.

In reverence and honour of life, death and rebirth.

My love and adoration for this tree is expanding in new and beautiful ways. Perhaps it’s borderline obsessive currently 😆 I’m finding this thick white floral abundance so hypnotic as I walk through the woods each day.

Hawthorn has been a great teacher of mine over the past 4 years or so, a friend for many more. Guiding me to deepen my connection to my to my blood, to my cyclical nature, to my primal energy. Holding me gently in a place of remembrance of Gaia’s ancient intelligence and love for us.

She’s a great mirror of the deepest embodiment of cyclical living, rocking the most gnarly bare branches all winter, only to flourish into this total magnificence when the earth warms up again.

Such a reminder to lean into the winter phases when they come and to hold faith in the rebirth and blossom that arises from the darkness. An emblem of fertility, abundance and (at this point in the season especially) some sort of fairy magic!

Big up our tree family, for all the gifts they share 🫶

Dedication to the Bees 🐝

Full Moon Eclipse in Scorpio has me painting it out…

A small dedication of heartfelt appreciation, to the hive of bees in my garden, who didn’t make it this year.

The colony who brought such joy to my mornings for a whole summer; who opened my dreams & imagination. Who showed me what it would feel like to live and love in a hive and to dance with flowers all day long. The ones who were bobbing out into the snow, early spring.

Such sadness there is, or at least there can be, in saying farewell.

In endings.

Still, we hold slow faith in nectars flow.

Tenderness towards all of the ways we learn, to let go 💛

I’m delighted for the birthing of another sweet collaboration with my dear friend Rachael of , coming up on Sat Dec 3rd!

We’ll be dancing amongst the beautiful Silver Birch Trees of Lawrencefield in the Peak District, sharing Cacao, sitting together in Circle and honouring the season’s beauty with our presence, our bodies & our breath.

These woodlands are truly enchanting and the perfect place for getting wild!   Are you in?

If you haven’t danced with Rachael before, what she shares is really beautiful. She holds outdoor Ecstatic Dances, using Silent Disco headsets in many wild places across Sheffield. She brings an array of eclectic tunes together to get your whole body moving and grooving. The spaces Rachael holds are full of potential for liberation, creative expression and a bit of good old fashioned fun! It’s always something special to be dancing in community out in the elements ⛰

Autumn is well and truly upon us! It’s starting to feel really chilly here in Sheffield, I’m wrapped in a blanket as I type this and my skin is pining for sunshine on this drizzly day.

So I wanted to share with you a little treat of a Cacao recipe that I’ve been experimenting with recently. It’s for those times when you need a little pick me up, to soothe and nourish your system as we transition in to the colder side of the year here in the Northern Hemisphere.

Ingredients~

1 cup of Milk of your choice
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Clove powder
1/4 tsp Reishi powder
16g of Cacao

*for times when you’re feeling depleted and in need of some extra calorific nourishment, add any or all of these in right at the end~

1 tsp of honey
1 dash of full fat organic cream
1 scoop of Collagen Peptides

How to~

Heat your milk with the cinnamon, clove & Reishi. Let it bubble and simmer for around 5 minutes (watch that it doesn’t boil over!)

Meanwhile chop your Cacao (if it’s in block form)

Turn off the heat completely

Add the Cacao and whisk it altogether, whilst calling to mind all that you love & all that you’re grateful for. Bring your own magic into this elixir, nourishing yourself even more deeply using the power of your heart’s intention. Et voila!

Warming spices are perfect to balance out the cooling effect of this time of the year and bring a nostalgic sweetness into your tastebuds.

Reishi is an incredible mushroom, who has a modulating effect on the nervous system- boosting It if it needs a little extra vavavoom and helping it to settle if it’s on overdrive.

Cacao is FULL of minerals tat our bodies need to function fully- Copper, Magnesium, Potassium & Zinc, to name but a few. It also contains Anandamide and Tryptophan, which both have an uplifting effect on our mood.

Experiment with the spices you add. Enjoy this Autumnal spiced, heart warming gift from the plants, as you take your time to sip and receive their deep nourishment.
