We are keeping the momentum of the Winter Olympic sports following the incredible in Sheffield last week with the KS1/KS2 Curling Festival with , supported by the Ice Skating Legacy Funding as a result of the European Figure Skating Championships being held in Sheffield

We saw over 240 children take to the ice rink (for the first time for most) at and showcase their hand-eye coordination skills and teamwork capabilities. It was great to see so many children having fun, growing their knowledge and improving their skill sets.

Huge thank you to the team for their support and the incredible Sports Leaders who did a sterling job supporting the children. Thank you all so much l!

The girls are back building on the brilliant foundations they’ve already laid. Skills, confidence, teamwork and plenty of smiles. It’s great to see this group growing and pushing on together.

Our very first Men’s Masters session kicks off tonight! If you’ve ever thought “I’d love to play again” (or “I never stopped loving it”), this one’s for you.

👀 Dads… if you’re bringing your girls along, you may as well bring your boots too and get stuck in yourself 😉

Sheffield, get your skates on! From 10 to 18 January, the Peace Gardens will host a free ice rink as part of the official Fan Zone for the ISU Figure Skating European Championships 2026.

What’s included:
• Free skating and skate hire
• Big screen coverage of the championships
• Food stalls and family-friendly activities

Opening times:
• Weekends: 10am – 8pm
• Weekdays: 2pm – 8pm

No booking needed – just turn up and enjoy skating in the heart of Sheffield.

As we sign off for the Christmas holidays, I just want to share with you the work we have been involved in since September.
