Here at Activ, our physiotherapists have over 20 years of experience each and we maintain a good reputation with the public as well as with fellow professionals. At our state of the art facilities we provide specialist treatment for back and neck pain, sports injuries and sports massage, acupuncture and women’s health issues. With our gym in Totley we can provide running assessment, golf screening and post-operative rehabilitation. We are registered with all major insurance companies such as BUPA, AXA & Avivia. Our Hope Clinic phone is still diverted to Totley whilst BT work through a fault. We hope that this will be sorted by the end of the week.

We are trying to work through this issue as quickly as possible and will be back to normal very soon!

The Total is in... Our Team raised an amazing £684.21 (plus gift aid) for the !

Earlier this month our Team walked from the Totley clinic to the Hope clinic, walking 14 miles in just over 8 hours across all kinds of terrain whilst having fun!

Yesterday, Andrew and Georgina travelled to the EMRT headquarters with their families for a guided tour around the facilities as well as finally finding out the total that was raised including the charity tin total!

A huge thank you to Georgina for organising the event and to those who donated to this very worthy cause!

⛔ Road closure next week on A6187 - 27 to 31 Oct - 9am till 3.30pm

If you use the A6187 from Hathersage to Hope, you’ll be aware that we’ve had traffic lights on this road for a fair amount of time while we fixed damage to retaining walls at Dalmar House and opposite the garden centre.

Annoyingly, just after this work was finished and the road fully reopened, a vehicle hit Mytham Bridge. Stone blocks weighing up to a quarter of a tonne were pushed into the River Derwent below. So the traffic lights were back....

To safely fix this damage we do need to close the A6187 from next Monday, 27 October until Friday 31 October from 9am until 3.30pm each day. There will be a signed diversion route in place - the A6187 / A625 / A623 / B6049 / A6187.

As the road will be closed for all traffic, including buses, this will affect the 271/272. During the road closure times, this service will stop at Bamford railway station on the east side of the closure, passengers will be met by the shuttle bus driver, who will walk with them along and over the footbridge to get on the shuttle bus for onward travel. The walk is around 300m. The same will happen in reverse for passengers travelling in the opposite direction. For further information please contact the appropriate bus company.

Our Team did it!

Activ Physiotherapy have raised over £445 for the Edale Mountain Rescue Team after completing their Clinic-to-Clinic walk on Sunday 12th October!

Our team walked 14 miles from Totley to Hope over varying types of terrain and had so much fun doing it!

Thank you so much to all of you who have donated to our very worthy cause.
The final count will be completed by the EMRT team when they also receive the charity tins as we've also had some very generous donations from our patients whilst they've been in our clinics!

A huge thank you to our lovely Georgina for organising the event and taking the time to do a few, much-appreciated, practice runs across the tops from Totley to Hope.
Thank you also to Archie, who also went through the practice-runs with George and kept us all well organised throughout the walk!
So from the rest of the team to Georgina and Archie - Thank you we had a wonderful time all whilst raising money!

Stay tuned for the 'official' final amount when we hand over all the tins to the Edale Mountain Rescue team!
