FUN filled football coaching for ALL GIRLS and BOYS aged 2-13 years old. All abilities welcome, children with additional needs are all well looked after. Sessions are delivered by our very experienced FA Qualified Coaches who are all DBS/CRB checked and cleared. We provide the perfect introduction into football for young children. All our sessions are aimed to increase children's SOCIAL skills, CONFIDENCE and FUNdamental motor skills, all through high quality, innovative football based games. ⚽️🚸 BIRLEY AFTER SCHOOL FOOTBALL.. IS BACK‼️⚽️
😲 After a month off for the Christmas period, we welcomed back the Y2 & Y3 kids - and they were SO FULL OF ENERGY today.. their batteries have definitely been recharged 🔋⚡😂
⚽️ Today's MATCH was a cracker 🧨 Both teams getting a fair few goals each 👏🏼⚽
Today's Messys of the week went to; ⭐ OAKLEY & OLIVER ⭐ Both for top class attitude and behaviour, as well as their hard work and skills in the games 🫡
What a brilliant 2 hours of fun football last night with our Little Messys players aged 6–13 years 🙌
The kids were FULL of energy and smiles as we got stuck into:
🔥 Jailbreak – shooting skills and quick reactions
🏃 Chicken Run & Cat and Mouse – speed, awareness and lots of laughs
⚽ Match Play – with our older group challenged to shoot first touch only 👀💥
At Little Messys, it’s all about confidence, creativity and having FUN while learning the game in a positive environment 💙

😄 We ended our year for the Monday groups with 2 hours of CRAZINESS 🤪 A few fun games, then KIDS V PARENTS 😂

3️⃣ Awesome groups with Coach Liam today 😄
🚸 2-4yrs played lots of fun games with DADS getting stuck in too, target games, ball striking games, and much more 😄 only our second week with this new group - and they're settling in nicely 👏🏼
🚸 4-6 & 6-7yrs groups were fantastic as always, we can really see confidence beaming out of each and every one of these superstars ✨ with top attitude and effort, helping us develop our skills each week 💙

⏰ 9am • 7-10yrs: Testing dribbling & defending in Sharks 🦈 Close ball control and scanning in Chicken Run 🐔 then some 1v1 numbers - building into MATCHPLAY ⚽
⏰ 10am • 10-13yrs: After a few skill games and challenges - we spent most of the session on MATCHPLAY, pushing the intensity and pushing the players development 📈⚽

Little Messys is a place for all children to express themselves, in a friendly and no-pressure environment. We have sessions suitable for girls and boys aged 2-11 years old, any abilities welcome! Whether your child is looking for an introduction into football, or already plays 100hrs per week and just wants another hour of football fun... OUR SESSIONS ARE FOR YOU!
Baby Messys, 2-4yrs: Our Baby Messys sessions are designed by our owner who has a vast knowledge and experience in children’s development at early years. These fun-themed sessions are proven to develop the child’s all-round skills; fundamental movement (walking, balance, running, changing direction, coordination... etc). Children will learn to share, take turns, interact with other children & adults.
Little Messys, 4-6yrs: All the focus is on the children having FUN! Lots of fun games that will teach the basic skills of football through a disguised learning coaching approach. Games will take them on adventures with THE HULK, SPIDER-MAN, DINOSAURS, DRAGONS, RACING CARS, SHARKS... And where ever the imagination can lead them. We set challenges as individuals and get the kids working in teams too! Small sided matches with 1v1’s 2v2’s 3v3’s and games with 6v6 which get the kids all looking to get the ball into the net! We don’t over coach the football match as we like the kids to figure it out and get used to running with the ball being surronded by a crowd, getting bumped over and jumping back up is all part of the learning process. Building huge ammounts of confidence which they will take into their school life too.
Mega Messys, 7-11yrs: Our focus is still on the kids having FUN... But with an advance in skill challenges and promoting team work! Kids are encouraged to express their creativity and trying to use skill to beat a player, be confident to keep hold of the ball, looking for a team mate, SCORE GOALS! At this age we are preparing children to progress into a local grassroots team, or they stick with us and continue to improve their skills at a staggering rate!
Messys Tournaments: We hold tournaments every few months as an opportunity for our Messys superstars to celebrate all they have learned in a friendly environment, playing against our other groups around South Yorkshire. This is another fantastic day to get all our groups and families together and make even more friends! Our emphasis is still on the kids having FUN, so parents are asked to only encourage their children. The coaches are at hand to give the kids help when needed.
Messys Half-term Camps: Every school holiday we organise football camps. 6 hours of football fun, team work, skill challenges, shooting games, passing games, defending games and goalkeeper games! A great way to get the kids off their gadgets and keeping active through every school holiday. Also keeping the kids entertained whilst you go about your daily routines. By the end of each day they will surely be asking to go to bed early!
Messy of the Week: We believe in positive reinforcement, so every one of our sessions the coaches are keeping an eye out for; good behaviour, sportsmanship, 100% effort, improvement in confidence, enagement... every child gets their chance in the spotlight with our award presentation each week. An awesome certificate they get to keep with thier name, date and coaches name.
Messy of the Month: Every group has a SHINEY TROPHY which is up for grabs at the end of each month. This can be awarded to the child who has come along in confidence, improved behaviour, skills, coming and having fun every week, and helping others... and 1000’s of other reasons! The child who wins one month gets to look after in and show it off for a month, then brings it back at the end of the next month to present to the next worthy MESSY OF THE MONTH.
There’s a place for everyone at Little Messys, no matter your childs abilitly or disability. Our sessions are fully inclusive.
