Great Weight Loss Myths 4 - Eat Less Move More
Body fat is simply stored energy, to lose fat, you need to burn more calories than you take in. For this reason, it seems only logical that eating less and moving more would cause weight loss, and while this advice works in theory, especially if you make a permanent lifestyle change, it’s not a one size fits all solution. For people with hormonal imbalances such as PCOS or menopause or conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, insulin resistance or an underactive thyroid this will more than likely not have a huge effect on their weight overall, if at all.
Studies have shown that medications such as Liraglutide or Semaglutide can help in these cases alongside a healthy eating and moving more.
