This month is Menopause Awareness month and today specifically is Menopause Awareness Day.
Menopause can bring so many different symptoms with it, it's not all about hot flashes and night sweats.... I should know!
So if you're beginning to question if you're perimenopausal, make sure you get yourself to a doctor you trust and talk through getting tested.
If you're not sure.... why not use my new Symptom and Cycle Tracker to monitor your cycle alongside anything that may be changing in your body, including your sleep and mood!
Grab yours from the comments below and let's make sure we keep the menopause conversation going. It may be a natural process, but it isn't something you just have to "put up with"! 💜

Did you know that September is Pain Awareness Month?

There are so many types of pain in the world, but this isn't really about that time you stubbed your toe. It's about long term pain that is often suffered in silence.

Whilst there isn't always something we can do about the pain we feel, the fact that we are feeling it at all, is the body's way of letting us know that something isn't right.

But many of us ignore pain, preferring to just "get on with it". Our stoic British "Stiff upper lip" takes over and we become too busy to see the doctor or are too embarrassed to ask for help!

STOP THAT!!! 😮

If you've been experiencing pain for more than 3 months, no matte what kind of pain it is, it's time to start doing something about it and what better time than Pain Awareness Month?

And because I understand what it's like living with long-term pain and how difficult it can sometimes be to explain, I've created a Pain Tracker, just for this purpose.

So get yours for FREE, right now and stop suffering in silence! Because you deserve better than being in pain! 💙

🔥 “You’re hot then you’re cold…” – thanks, Katy Perry! 🔥

The sunshine’s great for some people… but if you’ve got a long-term health condition, all this heat (and the constant temperature swings) can be brutal.

For me? The heat plays havoc with my Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I’ve started joking I’m turning into my mum – she never copes well with the heat – but for me, it’s a whole other level.

And it’s not just IBS. Lack of sleep from hot nights, exhaustion on top of fatigue, flare-ups of existing symptoms… while others are sipping cocktails in the garden, we just want to hide in the fridge until the sun goes away! 🥵

If you’re feeling it too, here are some ways to cool down and give your body a break:

✅ Sip water often – don’t wait until you’re thirsty
✅ Close curtains/blinds during the day
✅ Wear loose, light cotton or linen
✅ Fan + bowl of ice = DIY air-con
✅ Cool your pulse points – neck, wrists, behind knees
✅ Eat hydrating foods – watermelon, cucumber, etc.
✅ Open windows at night to let cooler air in
✅ Pop pillowcases in the fridge for 10 mins before bed
✅ Sleep downstairs if possible (heat rises!)

And if all else fails… join me in the fridge! 🧊

If you want to get a clearer picture of how the weather affects your symptoms, you can download my FREE Symptom Tracker – it’s a game-changer for spotting patterns.

But remember: if your symptoms are worrying you, always speak to your GP.

STAY COOL! ⛄️
