Blossom View Respite Home is dedicated to supporting individuals with complex health needs, and learning disabilities providing compassionate and professional care on a day-to-day basis. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for the People we Support through personalized support and dedicated assistance. Our service only has 10 beds and we operate a high staff to people we support ration

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Blossom View Respite Home. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being while supporting their complex health needs.

Responsibilities

Assist service users with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Supervise junior staff and provide guidance on best practices in care delivery.
Communicate effectively with people we support , families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
Monitor the health and well-being of people we support , reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and participate in regular reviews of care plans.
Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is essential.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with service users and colleagues.
Leadership abilities to supervise and mentor junior staff members.
Knowledge of care planning processes and best practices in senior care.
IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
Minimum of a NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care

🎉 What a fantastic day we’ve had! 🎉

This morning we turned up the lights (and the tunes!) for a sensory disco morning 🪩✨ full of music, movement, and lots of smiling faces. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the different lights, sounds, and sensory experiences.

This afternoon the fun continued as we celebrated National Mario Kart Day 🏁🍄🎮! There was plenty of racing, cheering, and a little friendly competition as everyone zoomed around the track.

A day packed with laughter, excitement, and brilliant moments all around! 🌟

Today is Chinese new year🎉.
We are also learning about China this week at blossom view for dignity month as we travel round the 🌎
Tonight for our evening meal at blossom view, people we support have had a Chinese takeaway. All have enjoyed choosing what they would like to eat and everyone really enjoyed.
We have also made our own fortune cookies and enjoyed by all.
