The ponies are truly in the Christmas spirt now .
We had a wonderful afternoon meeting all the children at their Christmas Fayre.
The ponies had their own special little helper this year .
Harriet was the best meet and greet person showing each little person how to approach and say hi to Harry and Leo .
Gosh lots of cuddles and joy 🥰.
Thank you to Sarah for joining us and now being part of the smile team 🤩

It’s that time of year when the boys are going to be getting into the festive spirit .
Its so clever when you ask your phone to make the boys look festive and it give you these 2 pictures .
They look so cute 🥰

Today we were out visiting everyone at Amberley Care Home in Calow.

Gillian was so excited to tell us about the bus trip to Meadowhall yesterday. It was lovely to hear how excited they all were about the things they had treated themselves to.
Kate was so pleased with her Father Christmas 🎅 ornament.
Peter loved seeing the views on the journey over to Meadowhall.

The ponies were loving all the cuddles as always. I just love how they gently put their chins on the knees of Gillian and Christine 🥰.

They say ponies never forget, and today proved it once again.
The boys were so happy to return to the Archer Project and spend time with their friends there.
David’s face when we walked in , and getting told how much he’d missed seeing the ponies .
It was incredibly busy, and with the weather being so cold and wet, it really reminded us how important places like this are.
A warm meal, a safe space, and a friendly face can mean the world to someone who needs it.

We’re so grateful that the boys can bring a little comfort and joy on days like these.

A lovely visit to potters green care home .
Harry and Leo were their adorable little selves.
Today was a first for Harry as he’s never been in a lift as he’s always been too big but today we got the chance to take him for a ride as there was one big enough for him .
Such special ponies .

Today we’ve managed to get back to see all our friends at Deerlands residential ,
It’s was so good to be back in our 8th year visiting there .
The residents were so excited for our visit and Leo and harry gave lots of cuddles.
Today I was given the sad news to of the passing of Elaine ( a lady I’d known from my childhood days showing my ponies ) .

I love it when families get to experience how special our ponies visits are .
Sandra had her own horses up to 10 years ago.
So this visit was so special , even emotional that she had the chance to stroke and be so close with ponies again .
Testimony

I wanted to thank Kathy for bringing the ponies, Harry and Leo, to my sister-in-law’s nursing home. All the residents who saw and interacted with the ponies had such a lovely time — it was something truly special to witness.

My sister-in-law has dementia, as do some of the other residents, but it seemed to make them think and talk to us — even though we were strangers — about riding donkeys at the seaside or always wanting a horse.

I’m not a specialist, just a relative, but to me all the residents seemed to enjoy a wonderful change from a normal, boring day.

Thank you, Kathy, Leo, and Harry — it was a pleasure, and you brought such joy to the residents and to me. xx

It’s been so lovely to be back catching up with everyone at The Archer Project at Sheffield Cathedral.
Such a special place, doing incredible work to support people experiencing homelessness.

It’s easy to forget how much goes on behind the scenes — from providing hot meals and a safe space, to offering a shower, a clean pair of socks, or some warm gloves. All those simple comforts that many of us take for granted every day.

When we arrive with the ponies, the whole place seems to pause. For a little while, the focus shifts to soft noses, gentle cuddles, and quiet chats — conversations that bring smiles and warmth in the middle of a busy day.

If we at Smile Pony Therapies can make even the smallest difference — helping someone feel a little calmer, a little happier, or simply seen — then every bit of the hard work over the past six months getting back up and running has been worth it.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported us in getting the ponies back out on visits — we truly couldn’t do it without you.

The Archer Project is always in need of donations. They even have an Amazon Wishlist where you can gift simple but essential items like food , new underwear or even gloves and hats now the weather has turned cold .

Remember — gifting forward is a small act kindness that makes a big difference, and it’s something each of us can do. 💛🐴
