Last week, we had the pleasure of attending a Clinical Development Day at St Bartholomew's Hospital, where clinicians and educators came together to explore the use of transoesophageal echocardiogram (TOE) during cardiac arrest - an evolving area that is transforming how teams assess and optimise CPR quality in real time.

A key highlight was the discussion around identifying areas of maximal compression — and how the corpuls cpr stands out as one of the few devices able to consistently and effortlessly target these critical zones.

Precision matters - Optimising blood flow starts with accurately targeting the areas of maximal compression — and corpuls cpr makes that simple.

The corpuls3: Modular design for smarter emergency care

Designed for dynamic emergency care, the corpuls3 offers a fully modular design that adapts to every patient scenario — from compact use to full separation during transport.

In its complete form, the system weighs just 6.5kg, ensuring portability and durability in any environment.

When separated into modules:
• Monitor – 2.9kg
• Patient Box – 1.1kg
• Defibrillator – 2.5kg

Why modular matters:
✔️ Modules separate and reconnect at any time
✔️ Wireless communication – no tangled cables
✔️ Ergonomic transport + reduced carry weight
✔️ Constant monitoring from scene to hospital
✔️ “Working triangle” allows clinicians to care from a seated position – SafeInTheBack compliant

Whether you need compact efficiency or full separation for critical transfers, corpuls3 adapts to your environment — and your patient.

Today we attended the Essex & Hertfordshire Air Ambulance National Critical Care Tasking Symposium, where we presented a hands-on practical session on fully synchronised CPR.

Using the corpuls3 monitor/defibrillator and the corpuls cpr mechanical compression device, we demonstrated Chest Compression Synchronised Ventilation (CCSV) with the MEDUMAT Standard2.

CCSV delivers each breath in sync with chest compressions, improving oxygenation, blood flow, and overall perfusion during CPR. This fully synchronised technology also reduces hands-off time and improves human factors in cardiac arrest.

A new real-world study from Louis-Pasteur University (France) reports that patients ventilated with EOlife showed a threefold increase in 30-day survival with good neurological outcomes (Cerebral Performance Category 1: 10.4% vs 3.4%).

The study provides valuable real-world data on how ventilation feedback can influence outcomes during out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, showing improved neurological recovery compared with standard practice.

Today we had the privilege of welcoming Yorkshire Air Ambulance to our brand-new Customer Experience Centre at Ortus house, where Dr. Jon Barratt led an in-depth SPEAR Course.

SPEAR (Specialist Percutaneous Emergency Aortic Resuscitation) is a highly advanced intervention used in select cardiac arrest cases. The procedure involves inserting a needle into the femoral arteries to monitor blood pressure on a beat-by-beat basis, giving clinicians vital real-time data during resuscitation.

This technique enhances on-scene decision-making, ensures more accurate management of cardiac arrest, and provides real-time feedback on the quality of CPR—helping maintain crucial blood flow to the brain and heart.

It’s one of the most technically demanding procedures undertaken in emergency medicine, performed even while chest compressions are ongoing.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in today’s training and helped make the session a success.

Jamie and Curtis have been demonstrating the corpuls cpr on the Ortus Technologies stand today at the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care Conference in Edinburgh, demonstrating how consistent, high-quality mechanical compressions can support clinicians during resuscitation.

We’ve also been showcasing how Clarius Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) can help identify the optimal compression point on the thorax. This allows precise placement of the corpuls cpr to enhance performance and improve compression effectiveness.

Jamie and Curtis will be back on the stand tomorrow. Visit them to see the corpuls cpr and Clarius Point-of-Care Ultrasound in action and discuss how you can integrate them into your pre-hospital workflows.

The new ERC Guidelines mark a pivotal shift in resuscitation science, recognising that high-quality ventilation is not secondary to high-quality chest-compressions, but equally as important.

To help more teams experience the benefits of real-time ventilation feedback, we’re offering 20% off EOlife VFDs

Supporting WAST’s Upgrade Project!

Last week, our servicing team visited the Caerphilly Logistics Hub to commission 56 new corpuls3 devices for the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust (WAST).

These new devices will play a key role in WAST’s upcoming upgrade project — introducing Software 4.4.2, Glasgow full scale, and corpuls.manager ANALYSE across their full fleet.

Onsite, our WAST Account Engineer Natasha and WAST Field Engineer Sree delivered comprehensive upgrade training, AED/Accuvac troubleshooting, and basic frontline maintenance of the corpuls3.

The first batch of upgraded devices is now ready to support the wider rollout — a great milestone achieved in collaboration with WAST’s engineering support team.

👏 A big thank you to everyone involved for helping drive this project forward and supporting frontline teams across Wales!

👑 Today, HRH the Prince of Wales visited London Ambulance Service HQ!

Prince William marked the organisation’s 60th anniversary by meeting paramedics and hearing about their experiences working for the UK’s largest ambulance service.

During the visit, he took part in a training demonstration and witnessed the corpuls cpr in action, seeing firsthand how modern technology supports life-saving care.

A fantastic reminder of the dedication of our paramedics and the innovation that helps them save lives every day! 🚑
