We all love birds, and it’s always fascinating to learn more about these amazing creatures. Today, we had the wonderful pleasure of welcoming the RSPB ( Royal Society for the protection of birds) chatting about different species, and watching some truly interesting documentaries and videos.

We’re lucky to see so many gorgeous birds around our beautiful green grounds, and days like this remind us how much there is still to discover.

It’s been a fantastic day here at The Laurels and Limes — we certainly never stop learning!

Here at The Laurels and The Limes, we love being part of our wonderful community and getting out and about together. We also enjoy keeping up with our routines — and one of our favourites is our monthly trip to the tea dance at the Crucible Theatre!

Here we are enjoying another lovely day out, sharing laughs, music, and great company. 🫖 💃 ☕️ 🎵

We all know how enjoyable music can be and how good movement is for our health.
Our music and movement class has been a delightful time for everyone! Both staff and residents had a great time joining in, sharing some fun and lighthearted moments together.🎉 🎶🎵🎊

We’ve got a few events coming up. Please take a look and join us for as many as you can.

28th November: music for mental health: interactive music session. Bring your dancing shoes.
2nd December: Paul Hill, singer. He’s very funny.
3rd Demember: RSPB presentation on garden birds. Come and learn about the birds that you see every day.

All events start at 2pm and are in the Limes main lounge.

Thank you to the Royal British Legion for coming and leading our Remembrance Day service this morning. And thank you to Pamela and Doreen for doing readings. Another beautiful service.

What a beautiful Remembrance Day service today. A special thank you to Major Angela for leading such a lovely service and to Ruth and Les for joining. Last but definitely not least a very big thank you to one of our residents and retired Salvation Army Captain Doreen, for proudly dusting off her uniform and joining in the service.

Also, a big thank you to everyone who helped donate to the food bank. What a difference it will make for families in our own communities.

Let us continue to remember always the sacrifices made by our past and present service men and women that allow us to enjoy the freedoms that we enjoy today.

We will remember them.
