We are so proud of the Porterbrook team! 💙
On Thursday, we held our very first Porterbrook Conference, and what a fantastic day it was. The event was made up of short, interactive sessions that were not only great fun but also packed with important training to further develop our staff’s skills and knowledge.
To ensure our residents continued to receive the high-quality care they need, we had additional staff on duty throughout the day. This meant our team could fully enjoy and benefit from the conference, knowing everything was running smoothly for our residents. The conference was also repeated in the afternoon, allowing more staff to attend by swapping with those who took part in the morning session.
Topics covered during the day included infection prevention, falls prevention, dysphagia, nutrition and fortification, and managing enquiries. A huge thank you to our amazing presenters — Joanne, Khadija, Neve, Mel and Lynne — for delivering such engaging and valuable sessions. Each group was also woken up and energised by the fabulous Jojo before the sessions commenced! ✨
In the evening, we came together to celebrate our incredible team. It was especially lovely to have some of our residents join us for the celebrations. 🥰
We proudly recognised our staff through awards based on our five core company values: trust, respect, kind, passionate and inclusive. The awards were presented by our new Regional Director, Michelle.
Unfortunately, not all of our winners were able to attend the ceremony — but don’t worry, the full list of winners will be announced very soon… 👀
