An indepth explanation of Cold and Warm and Hot Plasma – What are the differences? Please read on ...
Hot plasma is an ablative procedure that creates tiny dots on the skin and requires substantial healing time. It poses a risk of hyperpigmentation on darker skin tones and is therefore not suitable for everyone. It mainly treads skin laxity and tightens the skin, including the upper and lower eye bags. Also removes moles and skin tags.
Downtime: 5 to 7 days
Pain: Moderate with numbing
Sessions: Usually just one
All the following methods use controlled plasma energy to target skin concerns using Argon Gas to cool down the process
Cold Plasma
Cold plasma treats a range of skin concerns; it is non ablative and does not damage the surface of the skin. It is not painful; no numbing is required, and there is no downtime with cold plasma. Benefits of a course of treatments will:
Reduce surface level bacteria – great for anyone suffering with acne, eczema, or psoriasis, can be used anywhere on the face and body.
Stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, effectively reducing fine lines and wrinkles and improving uneven skin tone and pigmentation.
Allows for better pe*******on of products – visible anti- ageing results will be achieved with a course of treatments.
Downtime: None
Pain: None
Sessions: Up to 4 once weekly
Warm Plasma
Warm plasma boosts collagen, elastin, and hydration in the skin. It helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and tightens the skin, with numbing for comfort. This treatment is gentler than hot plasma, suitable for the eyelid area, and may cause brief redness. Quick results improve over time; three sessions six weeks apart are recommended. Warm plasma works on all skin types without pigmentation risks and can treat acne or injury scars.
Downtime: Up to 2 days (can be covered with tinted moisturiser given at appointment)
Pain: None with Numbing
Sessions: Up to 3 sessions 6 weeks apart
