So, 2.5 years ago, I was given a biologic to help dull my immune system down and stop my skin being in constant flare. Within 6 weeks, I had a huge allergic reaction and ended up in A&E. Over the last 2 years, I've had 100's of allergy patch testings and dermatology appointments and laser treatments on my face. I was finally told 17 days ago after the hospital spending 18 months in discussion with the manufacturer of this epipen I am not allergic to any of it, even the casing, it seems a rubber part on the other epipen that caused the reaction.
2 weeks ago, I had the 1st dose in hospital so they could monitor me in hospital for a few hours.
Today, I had to administer these, I had a wobble, Lee had to do it for me. But it's done, and I can now hopefully get back to not worrying what my skin comes into contact with. Roll on duty free on the way home from holiday. 😀
