10 Benefits Of Exercise:

2. Improves quality of sleep.

When we exercise, the movement, when performed vigorously enough, raises our core temperature this stimulates us and increases serotonin release “waking us up”. Serotonin also helps improve digestion, decrease nausea, wound healing, bone health, blood clotting and sexual desire.

As the Core temperature drops following exercise this stimulates Melatonin “sleep hormone” to facilitate rest and recovery.

You can use this cycle to help sleep when you train as the Sun sets which also signals the brain it’s time to rest. Use this cycle the other way round as the sun rises to increase alertness and optimum release of serotonin to stay awake in naturally lit environments.

1. Improve joint pain & stiffness.

When we perform physical exercises particularly resistance training we improve the strength and mobility of our joints and more importantly the surrounding muscle groups. This improves the affected joints strength and mobility. Resistance training also aids in our ability to increase bone density and decrease swelling and pain around our joints.

Regular activity replenishes lubrication to our joints and connective tissues which also aids in decreasing pain and stiffness.

High nutrition low calorie tasty meal.

Aubergine in my opinion is a great vegetable to grill, fry or bake. It absorbs flavour beautifully and requires minimum prep.

This dish has 1 1/2 grilled aubergine brushed with olive oil and seasoned with Himalayan salt & black pepper. 1 grilled Salmon fillet & cherry tomatoes/ red pepper finished off with a grating of Parmesan.

Ans: The straight forward answer to this question is this formula:

Men: IBW (kgs) = 22 × (height in meters)2.

Women: IBW (kgs) = 22 × (height in meters − 10 cm)2.

I would also ask how do you feel at your current weight? Joints, mobility, clothes etc.

Have you previously been at a weight where you felt healthier, happier & fitter?

Use the equation to find your ideal weight to height ratio then ask yourself compared to how you feel where you want to be.
