Today we recognize World Cancer Day.
A moment to pause, reflect, and stand together in support of everyone affected by cancer.
This disease has touched countless lives, leaving behind stories of courage, love, resilience, and loss. Today we remember those who have sadly passed, honor those who continue to fight with incredible strength, and acknowledge the families and friends who walk beside them every step of the way.
Cancer remains one of the biggest challenges of our time and accounts for about 1 in every 6 deaths worldwide.
Here in the UK, more than 420,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year, that’s roughly one diagnosis every 90 seconds and around 168,000 lives are lost annually.
World Cancer Day reminds us of the importance of education, early detection, ongoing research, and community support.
By spreading awareness, we help create hope for better treatments and brighter futures.
Let us take this time to reflect, support one another, and keep the memory of loved ones close to our hearts 💜
